I think they think we want May so badly that we will cave and accept unders. I would be shocked if it happened. What we asked in my opinion was fair and freo have just shown the whole industry, they demand overs for their own players and lowball the players they want to bring in, even if they’ve offered the same players a boat load of cash. I’d be shocked if Jesse wasn’t amazingly disappointed by this and I can’t imagine any way he considers a move to the dockers in the future now.

this is what happens when the CEO and a guy with the worlds worst case of little man syndrome are in charge of your list management. Freo finally had a gun key forward on the hook and they aren’t willing to pay close to his value. Why even bother wasting your time.

5&14 to me just about nails Hogan’s trade worth in my mind.

Thing is GNF Fremantle need hogan, they have nothing to sell to their members and so on. The club is a mess and they desperately need a big signing. Jesse answers their prayers but sadly bell is trying to puff his chest out and wants to get hogan, lobb and keep pick 5, or Neale. Give us pick 11, 2019 first and Ed Langdon and we are closer to the mark.

GC are also on record as saying they’d prefer to move him if he doesn’t want to stay long term. I still think 11, 2019 first rounder and 33 for May and Kolo is slightly overs but allows us to keep 5 if we bring in May and keep 5 that’s a great result. We have to get it first. Freo May trade it and then we have a decision to make it the trade is actually going to be acceptable at all

If it were me, I’d say I’d pick 5 is off the table I’d nearly walk away and make a statement to Jesse and the industry.

I’d argue that’s a better deal than 5&11 i can’t see the dockers finishing 9th or higher even with hogan and lobb. And they could go backwards and we end up with 2 top 5 picks

We need to be really firm with the dockers and back it up. If the deal gets any worse than 5&11 I think it may be time to say sorry Jesse the dockers won’t play ball.

Sam McClure has no idea. I think he’s drastically underestimating the quality of Jesse hogan. He could be just about anything. Hes clearly worth 2 first round picks.

Pick 11 33 and 2019 first rounder for may and Kolo? so effectively it’s 11, 16-18 and 33 its possibly overs but if we bring in May and keep 5 I am okay with that

I’ve heard from a source I trust very much that Fremantle have been an absolute nightmare for Brisbane to deal with in the lachie Neale trade. I can only imagine that’s been the same with the hogan situation. They’re asking massive overs from Brisbane and keep saying he’s contracted. I hope we do the same!

Freo know they can’t afford to let this opportunity to sign hogan slip because they may not get another one. They also need to sign a big fish to stop members from jumping ship and lobb doesn’t cut it. They will buckle if we hold our nerve. They want hogan more than they want their 2 picks. No doubt in my mind.
