If the club stay firm I believe freo will give us the two top 10 picks

It’s interesting isn’t it. All these rumours of these potential long term issues only come up when freo are trying to negotiate down the trade value. His foot or any other issues didn’t stop us wanting to lock him up long term or freo offering him big $$ to come home or then Getting him to come do a 4 hour tour. I just think the dockers are leaking little rumours to the press to try and knock his trade value down. And I hope the club sees through it. I think some of these rumours may hold some truth but if they were legitimate it wouldn’t have gotten this far. The dockers wouldn’t make the offer without doing due diligence on all aspects of jesses situation

Financially we can afford both, the evidence for that is the offer we made to GAFF the reality is that we can’t trade our 2019 pick unless we replace it and even then we’d need to include a quality player to be any chance without hogan leaving.

Tom Browne reporting freos priority is lobb not hogan. I personally think this is garbage they’ve been chasing Jesse for years and just did a four hour facility tour with him where they no doubt discussed his gaff sized offer. Id suggest someone from freo has leaked this to him to try and panic Melbourne into lowering the asking price rather than missing out on May. Sadly for freo the only person who hasn’t seen through it is Tom.

I’m not too sure, you’d think hogan would be their priority and they will play hard ball to try and retain a top 10 pick to land both which is why the trade with port would appeal. If they could say get hogan for 6&9 and trade 10 for lobb i hope and think they will still demand 5&6 hogan is probably the best young forward talent in the game and will be a superstar for a long time, I don’t think we should wriggle even a little on that asking price because not only is it fair, freo will buckle. They can’t afford not to sign hogan. They need something to convince members not to jump ship. my Ideal outcome would be using those picks on Steven may and bailey smith
