The look of the game.
Im beginning to think the state of the game has more to do with the state of Carlton, Doggies, GCS and to a lesser extent St Kilda and Freo than the rules. To fix this, Carlton and Doggies to play each other at MARS stadium at night under dark eaxh week, GCS to play local league in Shanghai and St Kilda and Freo to merge and relocate to Tassie.

Proposed new rules for 2019
Is one of the proposed rule changes that Carlton is not allowed to pkay on Friday nights?

Should Jack Viney consider amputating his toe for the team?
I vote yes, assuming it will grow back.

Losing Jack Viney
We should lock him in a cage in one of the MCG light towers between now and the end of round 23 and play the Rochmond theme song throughout the night. This will help deload his foot while also ensuring he is primed to go. The only problem with this plan is finding a cage that will hold him.

WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - STEVEN MAY
I might be alone on this, but I like Frost in our side in particular the way he spools up when there is some open paddock up ahead he goes for a run and launches the ball. Granted the ball often comes straight back but he is a sight to behold at full gallop.

Two Dees in Top 5 of Coaches Votes
Lol - what did Crouch do other than get smashed by our dominant midfield?

Round 23 Fixture Announced
Carlton game should be under the darkness at MARS stadium

ROUND 19 - Non MFC games
Sydney, Collingwood and Westcoast all lost. Id think that goes a decent way to helping our top 4 prospects. Win our remaining games and top 4 is very likely.

Run home to Finals - 2018
I have us losing to GC next week, followed by a win over Sydney, loss to WCE and then losing to GWS in a thriller to miss the finals. Werd up?

Dees give up Booze
We've come a fair way since our best players would get on the gear with bikies, get in drunken car accidents and stand on bars to urinate on people after a game.

ROUND 19 - Non MFC games
It doesnt really matter who wins tonight. We are above Essendrug and after we beat Adelaide, GC and Sydney we will be well above both sides.

Mitchell coming back to Victoria
Would he sit next to Gaff on the fpight home?
-
Who do we realistically target for a trade?
What if we went after Zac Jones and offered up Tyson and a player/pick? With Sydney's mature mids in their 30's a player like Tyson would be best 22 and play the next 4-5 years in the middle.

Changes vs Adelaide
As a tactic should we play the Richmond theme song when our players run through the banner?
-
Run home to Finals - 2018
I reckon we will beat Adelaide in a tight contest and then lose to GC.

Dangerfield Stages
Umpiring wasn't why we lost, we didnt stand up to Geelongs pressure in the 4th and made alot of mistakes. This said im very bullish about or side and what we are building.

Changes vs Adelaide
No changes for mine.

Post Match brawl
I was in attendance in the GA standing area and recorded actual footage getting from the stadium back to the car for the drive back to Melbourne. Enjoy! https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=aRM2YcGpmxg

Threat to runners
I seem to be alone in liking that runners are out there and that they are able to do shifty stuff like guard space. It creates a talking point during the week, kind of like holding the ball interpretatioms, the MRO and its various interpretations of similar actions that keep us talking. I also like that suspensions caused by misdemeanours and accidental or careless acts make players ineligible for Brownlows and apply to both regular seasom and finals so that the MRP manufacture a reason why the player should not be suspended, while creating precedents that create talking points for years to come. The AFL media machine is genious.

Mr Jones
We could pull a North and announce his retirement after round 23 on the eve of finals. I reckon Jones has a few years left in him and as others stated will move to the half forward flank.
