  1. I thought we lost it due to poor skill execution in our forward half resulting in costly turnovers where we gotcut up on the rebound. I watched the Tyson and Oliver tackles on AFL.com just before half time and am a bit confused re comments that Oliver could be in trouble. I would have thought a free kick would have been sufficient for the tackle and 50m harsh. If it is dangerous then review it via the MRP. Can anyone fill me in on what the 50 was for?

Not sure if serious. I thought it was great that they celebrated a hard fought win.

I reckon we will win all of our remaining games. Port are a seriously good side and we have one facet of our game that needs some work, how we bring the ball imto our forward 50. Viney working back to his best, adjusting our backline without Lever, Tom Bugg ramping up in the VFL, important tests v Geelong, Sydney and Westcoast will plant us firmpy in the top 2-3.

I dont mind that interstate clubs have the Noise of Affirmation as it creates a bit of controversy. It was a cracking game, we fell short largely due to composure with our kicking into 50, have something to work on next week and will play in September if we are good enough. Lets create our own Noise of Affirmation next weekend at the G.
  5. Jolimont is the perfect spot. Gregory, my driver, can park and wait at the Sofitel while I have a scotch or two with the lads before travelling home. Swan street is a bit of a cess pool.
  6. Whats this nonsense. They should be training, not joking around and getting ahead of themselves. Im furious and will send the club a handwritten letter to voice my displeasure once i'm able to calm down.
  7. What if we were to just start training on it and when the cricket boys turn up tell thm to pi55 off?

Wingard might be worth looking at

I reckon we make a play for Cale Morton via the rookie draft. Has some jets on him, runs all day, is skillful by foot on either boot and while he looks like an altar boy, with the right environment would be a contested beast. #freecale
  10. We wouldnt be moving up to fourth spot but rather Geelong moving down to fifth and us filling the space they left.
  11. Listened to the podcast this morning and great job by Andy and co to make this happen and ask some really good questions. Legendary stuff from Roos to give his time and speak so openly. If there is one slight negative I was slightly disappointed that we didnt ask him to read out some of the comments on here after a disappointing loss.
  12. I reckon it all comes back to the preseason camp. Adelaide did the right thing by completing theirs.
  13. Haha, not sure if you post this in jest. Your words remind me of an elderly Melbourne chap at the game on Monday who kept carrying on about how bad the team is to me in front of my 3 year old boy. While it was a disappointing performance you have had a couple of days to get over things, surely barracking for the worst performing club of the past decade you dont rely on our on field performance to feel better about the week?
  14. Looking forward to today's game. Im taking my boys (3 and 5 year old) and am planning to drive in to arrive outside the stadium by 2pm. Can anyone suggest a place to park that is not to far for the little tackers and easy access from the South as we are Bayside. I was thinking maybe the Olympic Park precint, is this a good idea?
  15. Just turned on the game and its as if Channel 7 are filming using a VHS handycam. Video quality is atrocious.
  16. Straight swap for JKH?
  17. Thanks, Cam Cam is a great clubman
  18. Havent seen Kielty but would be interesting to hear how he is going in the VFL. I dont see Hibberd as an interceptor but rather an aggressive mid sized defender who is excellent at ground level. Frost is essentially a poor insurance policy if Oscar goes down.
  19. I reckon Oscar could play Lever's role quite well, he reads the play well, has good hands and is a good decision maker/kick. Frost may play better if his sole focus is to handle the oppositions key forward. Re Collingwood Frost would take Cox and Gawn may follow Grundy forward. Collingwoods most damaging forwards are medium types and Hibbo and Jetta would get the job on these. Joel Smith could get the nod but if Oscar goes down we are a bit exposed.
  20. Hopefully Lever is back soon. I reckon Joel Smith might get a bit of a run.
  21. I reckon he will play and that his foot isnt really sore. This Sunday shapes up to be a crutial game and the sore toe 'story' keeps Adelaide guessing on how we will structure up.
  22. Perhaps you should go away and watch 186. We will absolutely dominate the Crow Eaters on Sunday and win by 30-40 points.
  23. Last year he played while missing a toenail which impacted his ability to kick. Still a very handy player and lile another poster said he is prepared to play at Casey to stay on the list. Also agree we shouldnt lose someone like Hunt to keep him.
