Christian Petracca and Clayton Oliver in 2026
If Curnow moved to the Suns you never know. The Suns are the key to unlocking these trades given their draft picks Potentially they have 6, 13 and 16 (this last one is dependent upon where Collingwood finish)

Welcome to Demonland: Brody Mihocek
No thanks except on a one year deal with options. Even then we are impliedly writing off Jefferson. Nothing wrong with Mihocek. Like many I agree he plays several notches above his profile but it's a move smacking of desperation. I'd be happy to trade Sparrow. Thought he would take off around 2022/23 but he's plateaued well and truly

Christian Petracca and Clayton Oliver in 2026
OOoooooh that hurt but true

Welcome to Demonland: Steven King
And thus the move by the Clubs to put in their man as Chairman of the AFL. No one is really interested in seeing Tasmania succeed. It's a completely different scenario to GWS and the Suns. Why would clubs allow a fox in the hen house when there is zero extra revenue coming in. Sure you'll get some benefits and you might get Tassie as an academy but bottom 4 for the first three years is most likely. Buckley has won the media spin and for the bulk of fans that's what counts

NON-MFC: Finals Week 03
The Storm prelim final is set for Friday night before the GF. Smart marketing by the NRL but fans of other teams are complaining that because the other prelim will be played on Sunday it's 9 days rest v 7 days. Storm really doesn't get the media coverage in Melbourne that it deserves. Strange given that the Age, 3AW and Ch 9 all have the same owner

State of Origin is Back

- Welcome to Demonland: Kalani White

State of Origin is Back
The NRL product is fast closing in especially as a television event. AFL can only dream of the success NRL has with State of Origin and even the Vegas games. Their Women's comp is also lightyears ahead. Attendance figures are no longer the measure for success

NON-MFC: Finals Week 03
The Big game is in Baku Can Oscar beat Norris. Each win brings the World Driving Championship one spot closer

State of Origin is Back
And stupidly we would let him. Let's see how many other veterans put their hand up.

Kayo is 4K in 2024
Okay... makes it easy Kayo taken out the week before AFL starts. One month before GF you cancel. $40 per month for say 7 months. Netflix.... Share an account with a family member. It costs extra to include another location but the more "sharers" you have the lower the unit cost. If no one to share Netflix varies between $10 (with ads) to $29 for 4kHDR Buy an Apple TV Box ($219). You could use your smart TV but Apple TV or Nvidia Shield is simply more powerful For Kayo 4k you need a reliable internet. Netflix is easier as it buffers Good luck

State of Origin is Back
Ok... would we play Gawn for example

State of Origin is Back
Can't see Dangerfield playing Wonder how much the WA Gov't is paying for the event?

Kayo is 4K in 2024
PF do you watch sport outside AFL season?
-
NON-MFC: Finals Week 02
Yep They definitely had their chances but having the equaliser scored on a penalty to force extra time and having the try denied in Golden time... Hell that's tough

NON-MFC: Finals Week 02
What a finish in the Raiders v Broncos game. Will be talked about for years to come

Kayo is 4K in 2024
Kayo to have in game ads in the form of side bars etc. If anyone has watched the VFL you'll be aware of the practice. Among the new advertising initiatives coming in 2026 is the L-Bar format, which displays branding around the live screen without interrupting play. The format is designed to appear at moments of heightened attention, such as goals or tries. Pause ads will also be introduced, taking over the full screen only when a viewer pauses live or on-demand content. A brand will then take over the screen in what Foxtel describes as “premium real estate that is viewable, completely uncluttered, and impossible to skip.” Kayo Sports will add three to six-second bumper spots prior to live matches, including during key fixtures such as the opening rounds of the AFL and NRL. According to the company, these formats create opportunities for advertisers while maintaining an uninterrupted sports viewing experience. Not happy but we all knew it was inevitable. Was watching the Sky F1 stream on a Canadian streaming channel recently. A couple of times mid race it went to a split screen and played an ad with sound. So it could yet get worse

NON-MFC: Finals Week 02
In the scheme of things the Hawks are the only ones who have done it without help of father/sons farms Cotton on academies etc. In a comp where it's a matter of inches they all help. Only watched the first half but Lions definitely played a corridor game tonight. Good for them. Wish we had the players who could do the same
-
NON-MFC: Finals Week 02
Perhaps they need some more priority picks
-
NON-MFC: Finals Week 02
Lions to take it away in the second half Has been a lacklustre finals series
-
NON-MFC: Finals Week 02
Southport have just beaten Frankston by nearly 100 points (143-55). You can only wonder whether we might have done better
-
NON-MFC: Finals Week 02
Simple... delivery and accuracy You don't need mega forwards if you have delivery. Collingwood is another example. Geelong with Cameron are slightly old school while Brisbane are probably their own worst enemy
-
NON-MFC: Finals Week 02
Nice start by Storm Could be a tough night but win this one and.....
-
AFLW: Rd 05 vs Port Adelaide
Port have scored the fourth highest number of points of any team this year but are the fifth lowest for defence. Won't be a pushover but we should be stronger and more skilful on the rebound

Poll: Coaching Viewpoint
Different answers for different clubs... We're not in the same stratosphere as Geelong and there's zero risk of raiding their players. Gameplan wise I certainly hope we're not imitating the Cats. We don't have the cattle. If we had taken someone from Brisbane or say Bulldogs and they were still in the finals you might have a greater argument. The only argument you might have is "time on job." King will now be perusing our drafting/trading strategy which could take his eye off his day job
