  1. thank you… and fingers crossed! I’ve wanted a home base almost as much as a premiership most of my 50 plus years of being a supporter.
  2. Carlton have had a shot ton of injuries and sacked their fitness boss. So perhaps they realise it’s on them. If his injuries were manageable / improvable he’d certainly be a good pick up.
  3. All 4 finals we could or should have won. Bad kicking for goal was what cost us... Goody cant take their shots for them. The game plan provided the opportunities. Hinkley has been slaughtered consistently in finals...if that was the Dees Id be thinking differently.
  4. If we sacked goodwin can u imagine the media pile on .. club in crises … stories. They WANT us to sack him to keep running with this sh@tfull narrative. ā€œDees sack premiership coachā€ Do its Def a no from me… fr many reasons ( 3 x top 4 finishes and a flag fr one) but feeding the never ending media narrative is another one of many not to do this.
  5. No way! He's so injured these days...he prob gets an early 2nd rounder.
  6. Are you implying that Petracca created the troubles? or just noting that his public stance on them has created a lot of necessary movement.
  7. I think at this stage the external review is the only thing that might clear the slate for a fresh beginning. Hoping it gets done well and helps bring the club back together.
  8. well said.
  9. A home base officially announced and building started.
  10. Great win. Gutsy and hard fought between 2 v good sides, also great ball movement.
  11. Trac was very well loved and will be again. You and I don’t know that he wasn’t speaking for many others at the club with the issues he was raising. So I think relationships will mend… perhaps even deepen. One thing about Trac is he’s an absolute professional in the way he prepares. Guys like him are hard to find and give younger players an example. Whatever he was pointing at I hope will be addressed properly. The Club had a massive scare here… perhaps it will work in our favour. I don’t expect him to be back to his best until late in 2025…but lets all get behind him.
  12. what’s your thoughts on this? On the surface, and that’s all I have access to, it seems necessary.
  13. A giant of the game in every way imaginable. And truly a good bloke too…, we’re lucky to have him.
  14. operation recently?
  15. Am I the only one thinking Turner is our version of Waterman?
  16. I think the dees have renewed their interest in Butters. But..no...there's no headline in that is there. [censored]. .
  17. Garry was great šŸ‘ … also said jack would be re signing in the next few days.
  18. Not as simple as this. He fared terribly last year with an extended break.
  19. Thanks WCW for the iportant context and for keeping some of us sane....I still feel devastated.
  20. Ok, this a tricky question ...and Im a huge Oliver fan....but do we just rest him now with 25 in sight? Let him heal that hand and get stuck into the fitness work ahead of time. Or will that create the wrong kind of headlines and put him under more pressure? Im just struggling to see the true champion that he was (and I believe will be again) perform in this way... I cant believe this is good for him now...he's cooked. I pray for the day that he can run past butters after kicking a brilliant goal and give him back the mouthful he deserves.
  21. Seems like we’re in that horrible place clubs get to when we’re caught pushing for another flag or having a deeper reset. Except the consequences of getting that wrong now are huge given Tassie coming in. Look at the mess the Tigers are in., Against that we have brought in many young players already and Gawn is nowhere near done. I find myself vacillating .
  22. Even with all the injuries when they bring the heat they can beat anyone. The steady rise of JVR Rivers adding more strings to his bow Turner as a fwd Petty re signing But, as others have said, biggest positive by far is watching Windsor adjust to AFL.
  23. Bit tough on melksham…he played half a quarter! plus he was involved in what should have been the winning play via fritsch and tholstrup.
  24. great effort by the boys. Billing’s and Tholstrup terrible misses … you can’t afford that in close games.
