PODCAST: Rd 08 vs Geelong
I reckon you also have to take into account the stage of the game and the importance of the game. Super late in the 4th , less than a goal the difference, 4 v 1 ( with 1 unbeaten) is a big time in a big game. Jacko kicked that scissor goal as part of a big win against the roos just before 3/4 time. I vote for Fritters

POSTGAME: Rd 08 vs Geelong
So many unexpected things are making that win and this season exciting. 1./ Howโs the new guys?! Howes can really play and is a cool head. Windsor is now doing it in big games. such a clutch tackle and goal. Woewodin is solid at least and Turner looks threatening. Then a few older guys I didnโt expect much of in 2024 are clicking. Petty is officially back and influencing games. Great grabs anll night. Oliver casually racks up 30 plus while still returning to his best and Tmac matched arguably the games best player Cameron all night . Yes Cameron missed 2 uncharacteristically late but even so Tmac I think had nullified him on balance. 2./ Also thought our approach to the game tactically and physically was brilliant. kudos to the brains trust. 3./ Dees arenโt yet favourites in 24 but thereโs nothing between us and others claiming that. 5 guys in the team with very few games ( thatโs a mini rebuild)!and we beat the top seedโฆ weโre only going to get better.

NON-MFC: Round 07
I think hawks fans just expected another epic rebuild a la clarkson lucking out with roughead and franklin , jordan and rioli etc etc. Hope theyโre down for a decade.

Grab a proper home training venue like caulfield and win another flag and I reckon we could be right up in the top echelon.

I think he's a gun ...or would be in a different team. And...this is what everyone said about all of our players for so long. If he's leaving we should def be enquiring.

Bye weekend - watching 1987 finals
yepโฆ and again in 89.

Bye weekend - watching 1987 finals
yes quite right re 89 not 88! We came back from our GF thrashing in 88 to win the pre season night series. Regardless of weeks missed though , I donโt think either player, Wight or Hughes was quite the same post those injuries.

I think back on that era and teh cost of winning the 88 night grand final against the cats. Both Wight and Hughes did major hamstrings. They both returned after lengthy rehabs but were never the same after. I reckon it cost us a flag. Not in 88 as the hawks were on another level but in 89 , 90 when we were right in the mix.

TRAINING: Friday 19th April 2024
Players have got to have their lives too. I doubt a cooking demo does anything but make him happy.

Between the Flags - a great new book on the MFC
Or if Kozzie, Fritter, Langdon and Tmac had kicked the goals they would kick 95% of the time versus the pies in that final! Cue similar question v blues the next week. So close...but so far.
