  1. 2012 WAS a shocker for many. Petterd and Martyn included. Ricky's been forced to play the big man't role for some time and opposition block him. C and D will help Ricky out here and Davey may well breath again.
  2. Hi Dee Man The latest one that comes to mind is LJ. A Big loss for me and Melbourne. Due to injury and other issues LJ still has not arrived at his best. Wish him well. Robbie Flower was loyal to the core and reportedly courted by the Blues with big $ on offer. On the flip side was Greg Wells who chased that elusive Finals performance with Carlton. 1976 was a great year for Wells and Melbourne but sadly "mist it by that much". Rolled Pies easily at Victoria Park final round only to see Bulldogs not able to get over Carlton in the last round by the slightest of margin...or was it the other way around..ermmmm...
  3. Take it upon yourself to do it Ash.. Stuff that annoys about this website? Crikey! Not hard. Who's D Barry anyway?
  4. thx pass Davey did give the impression of running on the spot this year. Don't rule out a revival. Davey type will thrive on "coming to ground ball" via Dawes/Mitch. Still working on my team .
  5. Taggert's a very good call. Have seen the boy play once and that was enough for me. Evan's is the only surprise. Good team!
  6. Old school here. Love the Melbourne Jumper and theme song. Keep both. Don't fart around with either. Cats Jumpers are fine as well. Actually Cats are my second favourite team. Go Hawko!
  7. Big Loss Jared Rivers. Riv will be good for Cats. He's got that Cat Look going for him already . The unbrushed hair look. GFC boys always give me the impression they've all just rolled out of bed and chucked the boots on. ...and they all can play. Win some lose some.
  8. WJ Davis looked really good pre season this year. Then went missing. Not sure if this was an injury issue.
  9. Must acknowledge the following. Wight was freakish and din't think of him before penciled in Sullivan. AJ was my favourite Melbourne Defender and while was toooo young TAssie and RB in a stand off for best fullback. Sean Wight Alan Johnston Tassie Johnson
  10. Ingerson Biffen Fowler Hardeman Icke Sullivan Apologies Frank Davis.
  11. Dunny will be ok. He does have much needed grunt. Without the MOUsTACHE he looks much better.
  12. shouldn't it be "good news" we play PA at the MCG round one.?? couldn't give a rat's [censored] who we play round one. Brinng on Hawkers I say! HST A home game is preferable and V a club that DRAWS.... PA ISN'T going to draw is IMO is a wasted MCG clash. In a nutshell a Blues, Bombers , Swans or Hawkers type clash would of been the medicine.
  13. How good is Dawes? Certainly looks to be a brute! 24 perfect age.
  14. I've seen him take some timely grabs down back though Pass!
  15. Keep Martin as insurance. don't want to beat up Clarlke and Dawes in the Ruck. Martin and Gawn will be very handy as support for Jamar. Defensive stocks look good with Jamar pushing b ack in 2013
  16. it's all conjecture disco! Trade for ????? Maybe yes.....Maybe no!!! Talk to me Disco!! Thaipantsman is trading at Midura Show the next 3 days. 35 degrees and getting warmer..ahhhhh!!!!
  17. maybe you're right Chipa! It's called insurance
  18. Les Bamblett! FAST! Another star. Thank you for reminding me.
  19. problem here is the culture and level of understanding of indigenous footballers as above raised by Whispering Jack. A very worthwhile piece of writing and we all have lots to learn.
  20. We haven't yet seen the best of Martin and I don't mean Todd! He'll have a huge year alongside the Dawes Factor. ....If we land him.
  21. everything!! MFC did everything?? Big call..... I don't think so.
  22. Your sounding like Alan Jones and your comments indicate strongly that contrary to what you post that you have not much idea of the hardships. Having said that I do agree with you the situation is very sad and you obviously like me are very upset LIam left.
  23. real for one is not real for another? I know for a fact you don't mean this. Melbourne FC new full well what they were up against with LJ. He's not only an elite AFL footballer but also an Indigenous community elder. That's his biggest responsibility RR. Tink about it Matey..Players come and go. We'll always remember LJ as the one we let get away. Good luck to him. He'll do well with PA so long as things fall into place for him in the White Man's Courts. You say quote indigenous 'leader' or not ... Liam Jurrah is a bit of a [censored] in my eyes
