  1. Blease like Watts both very young. Potentially both could be absolute guns at 25. This is why we need to keep Sylvia and why we went after Byrnes...to teach.
  2. Ash...lets tackle next year when it comes upon us. This years hard enough to deal with. We've lost Jurrah, Moloney and Green retired.
  3. Well said DE!! couildn't of put it better. Sylvia will finish his career at Melbourne hopefully.
  4. lee how..so far from the truth. that's a myth that needs to put to rest. Sylvia started the season with shocker of a back injury. he came back the second half of the season and was one of more consistent performers.
  5. Very Silly! Coach or any good footy minded person will see Sylvia as an integral part of the MFC.
  6. possible Mono. he did play forward and seemed to struggle.
  7. I will discuss. Had him in my supercoach all season. Kept him because because he was there. To be respectful the guy has all the heart in the world but is out of his depth He tried his outmost. Already have Mackenzie. Got to be a limit especially if we want to head north on the ladder.
  8. On the contrary scary to read all these cynical analysis of Watts. Thank god Demonland doesn't reflect the true Melbourne Spirit. "stoked"....what a lot of dribble
  9. we didn't sign him up to be fringe surely?
  10. you might be right Demon Dan! Haven't followed that one too closely..you're probably right..
  11. he looks good! small but straight left footer.
  12. Perhaps post here. This is the original thread...callRhino!
  13. Let's not argue about that now. Moloney will be a loss though. Hopefully Byrnes can cover him? Was he injured this year??
  14. hope so! really can't comment but only worry because only managed to land 4 games this year
  15. shannon byrne officially a demon. don't know a lot about him. played 4 games for the cats this year and has played in two grand finals.
  16. Malthouse and buckley aren't in charge of the Melbourne Football Club. Not entirely sure if they said "no doors" in the first place.
  17. Tippett would be heaven! Oh well...we'll get what we get. All this is no different to when we traded marbles at the start of every school year. (Nowadays it's iPads or used iPhones, samsung's) Funny/Weird why we are speculating in this forum? Even myself can't help having a look at the latest gossip that's usually comes to nothing..Caddy, ORourke, Wellers, Cloke, Tournpass(whoever he is?)... Hope they remember the "devil you know" is most often true in these cases...ie ...straight swaps Martin-Dawes.... Keep at it Neeldy...we're all backing you in Demonland. Mightn't all love you but we are backing your judgement here.
  18. So much conjecture If you use on field performance as a barometer then Melbourne have loads more problems. Port accounted for Melbourne easily. Can't see the point is bagging PA? Doesn't make me feel any better .
  19. Seriously I don't think any media dudes actually hate us? How can you claim this? Fact is Melbourne have massive deficiencies and have done for many years and these media Guys simply point it out. Lets face it we stuff up consistently. Without delving into that or the reasons for this or that lets simply accept the Dees have been far from great the past few years and no spin can alter this. Off topic I'm really split with this Dawes/Wellingham situation and am prepared to back our Coach. Neeld's the one cleaning the slate here and it's ultimately his call. Who cares what Denham, Lyon, Sam Newman or any other report says.
  20. Forum seems really split on Dawes. Not sure why I keep looking in here in the first place!?? As I said in the previous post Mark Neeld has coached Dawes and must know him well and therefore must be well o fait in regards to Dawes likely benefit to the MFC. If you guys support Neeld then you must support him and the MFC if we sign Dawes up. No exceptions? My feeling is Dawes did look like a plodder this year but perhaps there are circumstances that led to this, ie, Cloke or Collingwood game plan. Neeld may have plans for Dawes which revolve around him being our number one forward with Clark (if his foot holds up) assisting Jamar. Yes I'm on board with Neeld only because there is no other option.
  21. lets hope Neeld knows more of Dawes than we do. surely having coached him he should know if he's another Holland?
