Not quite! Viney will be good but questionable ready for this level. Don't put pressure on him. Magner still ahead of him for in the GUTS. Watts will take another year. His body strength/bulk needs to build up. Saw him get absolutely mauled by Fisher and J Brown. Pederson-we know very little about him. Couldn't get consistent footy with Kangaroos. Have we got Wines? This is "our" best 22. Garland is yet to prove himself. Doubt if he would crack into the Tigers Team. Davey sadly out of form and might be coming to an end. Tapscott a little slow and IMO a little better suited to the back line. If Jetta and Dunn are in our best 22 then we have problems. Byrnes and Rodan need to he in the 22. Both well established ready made players. If Gawn is fit again then throw him in as back up for Jamar. Cheers! Oh yes....Taggert!

Interpretation of "tanking" is the whole key here. Massive legal ramifications not only for Melbourne. It's not an "attack" on Melbourne by Wilson. More a big story and rightly so. From what I have heard Melbourne will escape this. Wilson's line about Bailey being concerned about losing his job etc is speculative. AFL are on shaky ground with that one. As a closing comment and this will obviously raise feathers. Bailey had us playing reasonable football considering the list and the limitations and pressure put on him to experiment.

IMO will get knocked over for this but must be said. What we need is a massive signing. A Captain. Leadership from the top. Mentors for the kids. Ablett, Judd, Brown, Pendel types. An experienced coach. Current coach is out of his depth while no doubt great intentions you can't simply copy and paste a Collingwood game style into Melbournes. Won't work. Players aren't Robots and have different skills and attributes. How many times this year did we hit the boundary line only to see the ball drift out on full giving the ball back each time.

J Mac was Melbourne Captain and no longer has allegiance to Melbourne. He flatly denied any tanking took place and he would know. All will be ok.

Fox Footy was on at the Hampton Gym last night. Melbourne V St. KIlda at the G. One of our better games for the season. Morton struggled. Jamar was excellent. Sellar tried hard and is strong but lacks skill. Ball bounces out of his hands frequently. Watts got pushed away easily and consistently by Fisher. Watts while taller was no match. Jones dominated. Rivers was our best defender and Moloney a powerhouse of strength and constantly drove us forward. Bate was a strong presence up forward and didn't look out of his depth. Ok Jurrah left for his own personal reasons. Bate will be picked up and will thrive elsewhere. Rivers will play every game for the Cats. Moloney will be a star with Brisbane. Watts will get stronger and will peak in two years. I left wondering why we kept Bail, Davey, Dunn while letting go Moloney, Rivers, Martin and Bate. I realise Moloney and Neeld didn't get on but if He gets rid of every player that doesn't like him we won't have much of a team left. Dawes is on huge money . Clarke same. Dons't be fooled it's the $ that brought them to Melbourne nothing else. As for Rodan and Byrnes? How are they any better than Petterd, Bate, Moloney? Where is the improvement going to come from?

At the game seated is vastly different to Demonland Forum. For one there is no "territorial front gate" . Cyber space provides the protection to say whatever it is that's on your mind and troll to your hearts content. This is one reason I enjoy the banter and general disagreement. A game is different. Opinions are kept a little closer to the chest. The Pro Neeld camp are very quiet at games and for good reason. All said I am neither pro Neeld or ANTI . Just don't see any good reason to follow the endless threads about him being the best thing since sliced bread. This trade period to date has done nothing to change that.

Players of AFL standard are all way above us mere mortals. A love in may well have worked much better. No way Malthouse would of let Gysberts or Morton go for Rodan and Byrnes. Not that the latter two are bad just that they are nearly at an end. Neeld has brought Big Bertha out big time.

Hate is a very strong word Pass! 2013 is here on us now. RR commented that even he would reconsider mid 2013 and he's a believer! I'm not a believer but feel Neeld has to be given to end of 2014.
