THE BOMBERS' DOPING SAGA - THE FAT LADY SINGS
It is regrettable that after "serving their time" there has been acknowledgement of wrong doing. Protestation of innocence has been the only constant. I would find it easier to move on were their some recognition of what was done and a statement to never repeat the circumstances. Any publicity of any participants should be used to educate the next generation of what should be done.

Got called out and missed the detail. But the intro showed a rugged looking individual talking of the difficulties that banana growers had faced and the potential of new strains. All sounded familiar having been an avid reader of this thread. Certainly found that size doesn't matter after tasting the most delightful fruit purchased from a roadside stand on a road trip through NSW.Small and looked A little green but 6 in the bunch for $3.00.

Don't leave DL now JC you may need the virtual insanity of this site to distract you from the reality of life. Also the rise of the Dees will provide some joy after the frustrations of the last 5 years you have been on site so the humour will no doubt rise to a new level also. An alternative view is always welcome on this site where locker room banter prevails. Disagreement is appreciated to prolong interest and awaken satirical reference. Failure to rub someone the wrong way is a sign of intellectual incapacity and allows those with the sharpest wit to retort. Hope your moving on has sufficient flexibility to visit occasionally

Just heard that Hird was bewildered by Jobe's decision. REALLY! James should be excluded from any comments about drugs, football or sport until he recognises that there are international obligations on sportspeople.

Well we have NBN in the wilds of Murmungee 3747 or so they say. I think it is just that there are so few of us here with so little demand for high speed anything that we cannot overload the local wireless signal which is sent to a pigeon owner who dispatches messages to all corners while making up a temporary response that indicates there is some fault affecting transmission. After this notification the flashing lights go out and we resort to conversation until the pigeon returns.

It is regrettable that this is another fallout from this debacle. while the decision may be difficult for Jobe to undertake with the rabid protestation of his dad it is nonetheless the only thing he can do. Jobe did do homself some credit in acknowledging early in the piece that he had taken some indetermined supplements so he may be convinced to make the connection. Not hopeful though.

Ahh that explains my own immunity. I am pleased that a life time of indulgence has proven of some worth. My father always thought that wine drinking was a grandiose and wasted time when there was plenty of beer. He is still a very healthy and active 89 so could it just be the alcohol? Will have to research this more fully in Sydney as a small group of supporters head north for the next encounter unfortunately thats as far as my limited budget will allow. Was pleased to see the Earl has transferred bitcoins and now appreciate the name as the association with BbO ( I dont feel familiar enough to call him Uncle) who I recognised as one of the many on this thread with insight and judgement beyond my own flimsy and tawdry ability. I have travelled to the China years ago and on an expedition to the Great Wall was advised by my guide that the wily Chinese were building a new wall for the Japanese visitors as the real wall was too far from Beijing and their tiny legs could not cope with the original warrior steps. It was an interesting tale which I treated with my usual disdain, however I am wondering if there was some truth in that statement?

Havent heard of this PH Alkaline water before. But could certainly do with that extra energy. As for nasty disease thingies Im sure the hedonistic lifestyle models we are exposed to on this thread provide enough diverse alternatives to ensure said thingies cannot adapt any resistance nor mutate quickly enough to overcome every pleasure we undertake.

Thanks Hemingway for providing an antidote to the current pressing time. I also "like people to sense the vitality of youth but also sense the ever present possibility of loss and indeed death." "There are many wise young people and many older people who are unfamiliar with the the term". Obvious and yet curiously rarely stated. Never a truer statement has been included within the offerings of Dland, it is these pearls that keep me gravitating to the site. "I like decency, courtesy and respect." as long as it allows for the rantings we witness here. "I like conversation without personal insult or attack. I despise egotists and boasters." One wonders how you can entertain reading Dland but understand that we can all overcome our distate through viewing of falling/failing standards while conducting ourselves in an unimpeachable fashion. l also " know many young people who share those values just as I know many middle aged and older folks who don't. " They are the collective of Dland that contribute every day. However I think age is important and attitude is what counts. "It is important to understand and learn from history whilst living in the present and giving thought to the future" as every true demon supporter understands more readily than most. And T R&B I am on the cusp of 65 with an attitude that wants that more immediate success while it is still possible but building a strong foundation for the future. I wont be joining Earl and crew but watch their progress with an uplifted sense of pride and hilarity

Heard Eric Bana state that he was one of the few not to have witnessed a Saints flag and would place it above winning and oscar. It was a lovely gesture of support from him and filled me with admiration but there are plenty of us that have had our lifes scarred through our demon allegiance. While I am qualifying for a pension this year I have not been able to appreciate the glory of attending a premiership victory. Our glory years were when I was a child in the country and had to play out our victorious moments on the front lawn listening to the radio. I will always remember Bluey Adams, Barass, Lord, etc from that time, while equally and probably better skilled players are wallowing without that pinnacle of achievment I have been to more grand finals of other teams than I have Melbourne and frankly am getting sick and tired of being an irrelevancy. I hope that our current group can develop a more sustainable model. Perhaps they need to be reminded of how many Eric Bana's we have. I know that does lead itself into some inexusable banana repartee but go for it

The original Brothel creepers are still produced by Rossiters. Most reputable footwear retailers will stock them or be able to source them for you. At the risk of being embroiled in "questionable business practices" I have size 5 and 6 in black @ $147.00 and a range of Slatters Ripples in Stone (a light beige) @$99 but would require a fitting at the shop in Beechworth. If you wanted to expand your wine tasting experiences and retreat to Beechworth would be happy to meet. We are remote enough from Melbourne that the bitter sting of defeat by Essendon can be diluted.

Feeling the Earls pain here. Disgusting in this age of innovation and free trade that the unselfish efforts of the earl are not suitably recognised. Although I may be incorrect with some of this statement!??????? Please Ignore Haven't participated in any of the wonderful conversations that occur on this thread since this apparently unsent missive. Cant seem to delete the reference and hope this submission clears it . Was concerned about the outcome of proceedings given the sudden interruption. Was Bitter overcome by the Poor quality shiraz Was Biffen affected by the g mer a tile arrangement Was DC overcome by his outing coinciding with a Dees win The coincidences of victory can often leave an addled and confused state , similar to that evidenced by Malcolm on finally achieving the prize but not knowing what to do next. I hope our players are receiving appropriate post match remedial treatment to ensure that the next match continues their astonishing rise and the unfamiliar territory of winning.

Simon Goodwin - coach in waiting...
I am a bit fazed Would like to hear some truth from him. A genuine admission that he was/wasnt part of a drug program That he regrets the processes that were obviously lacking in the Essendon program. That he has learnt from that experience and will ensure that any practices he is involved with meet the highest standards of transparency and rigour. That he does not condone any illegal or untested drug programs in any sport. That as MFC coach he is following and maintaining the high standards that were outlined during his recruitment..

Perhaps you may be restricting yourself looking only only at culinary use. As suggested Im sure there are some healing properties that the gullible/expert specialist Essendon football club people could explore, and of course the confusion with paperwork suits their administrative model perfectly. alternatively you may find there is a market as a new age digital lubrication device a suitably vague term that can attract folk from our diminishing manufacturing industries, motoring enthusiasts or the sex industry. Or perhaps it can be perceived by some as worthy of a grant as part of our innovation nation capacity to re-engineer.

WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB – JAKE MELKSHAM
I also take cheating seriously Choke as indicated in all of my previous comments on the likely impacts when I predicted that Essendon were doing exactly that. I also believe in restitution and rehabilitation I would like to think the club knew Melksham would be found quilty and were helping ameliorate the impact on the competition by taking a good player from Essendon and allowing them to pick up a high draft pick. We shouldnt have to pay him this season as he would not have been paid at Essendon but we were probably able to negotiate a better 4 year deal they could offer given they were uncertain of their position. I would also like to hear him and the others involved declare that they had cheated (even if under the spell of Hird Bomber etc ) and regretted their actions more specifically then covering up the circumstances again under the duress of the Essendon club. That they now intend to ensure they reach their potential without performance enhancing drugs and apply themselves even more diligently as they do this. We can use Melksham at the club as a reinforcement of the impact of drug taking and hopefully have an improved club and culture as a consequence. We can in short make more positives from this than most clubs and of course when we play Essendon and your opponent is calling for the ball you can casually ask them if that has been approved by WADA. Until that club acknowledges its wrong (cheating) they will not be restored.

The Provendor next door makes a delightful mango smoothie. As good as a meal. They do a berry milkshake and will see if they can come up with a Raspberry and Blueberry version. Also very sorry to read of Jazza's passing. As a greater observer than contributor I always enjoyed his comments and observations. Many of his references struck home with me reminding me of glories past chasing the elusive waves down Johanna way and my formative years at the back end of the cow. What a pity he has only seen the beginning of the resurgence. May his memory stimulate us all. Go Dees

Thanks for the tips Our pick is for the card not just the plate so any other informed (or other inside information) would be equally appreciated. feeling very optimistic after the draft results so far Can even cope with losing Howe and Toumpas I am having faith that our coaches know the capacity of players and that these blokes just wont fit our requirements. Have postulated that Howe could become "Leaper Lynch" mark2"while Toumpas could be anything. But even if they are they wont hurt us at Collingwood and Port as we now appear to have a better balanced squad. Too much Footy?? Castagna wine tasting up here Saturday afternoon This is their annual tasting they do not operate a cellar door. Adams Rib was a stunner last year and "they" say that this years harvest is the best for many years High quality and intensity with volume as well. Probably not going to impact on prices Beechworth are always premium.

its not just the disposal its the action with it. I couldnt help notice Hawthorn pinball disposal, always accompanied with the player giving off the ball falling back into his tackler to make space until there was enough space to make a good disposal. This tactic not only took the tackler out of the contest it often put them off balance and allowed the original player to launch themselves off that player. Very sophisticated and very effective.
