Perhaps you may be restricting yourself looking only only at culinary use. As suggested Im sure there are some healing properties that the gullible/expert specialist Essendon football club people could explore, and of course the confusion with paperwork suits their administrative model perfectly. alternatively you may find there is a market as a new age digital lubrication device a suitably vague term that can attract folk from our diminishing manufacturing industries, motoring enthusiasts or the sex industry. Or perhaps it can be perceived by some as worthy of a grant as part of our innovation nation capacity to re-engineer.

WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB – JAKE MELKSHAM
dpositive replied to Theo's topic in Melbourne Demons
I also take cheating seriously Choke as indicated in all of my previous comments on the likely impacts when I predicted that Essendon were doing exactly that. I also believe in restitution and rehabilitation I would like to think the club knew Melksham would be found quilty and were helping ameliorate the impact on the competition by taking a good player from Essendon and allowing them to pick up a high draft pick. We shouldnt have to pay him this season as he would not have been paid at Essendon but we were probably able to negotiate a better 4 year deal they could offer given they were uncertain of their position. I would also like to hear him and the others involved declare that they had cheated (even if under the spell of Hird Bomber etc ) and regretted their actions more specifically then covering up the circumstances again under the duress of the Essendon club. That they now intend to ensure they reach their potential without performance enhancing drugs and apply themselves even more diligently as they do this. We can use Melksham at the club as a reinforcement of the impact of drug taking and hopefully have an improved club and culture as a consequence. We can in short make more positives from this than most clubs and of course when we play Essendon and your opponent is calling for the ball you can casually ask them if that has been approved by WADA. Until that club acknowledges its wrong (cheating) they will not be restored. -
I would like to think that our contribution in defraying Essendon impact by taking Mikshake and gifting them a 2nd rnd pick is sufficient donation in the AFL "ensure the competition continues" game to allow us exemption from any predatory moves from Essendon.

I always remember some of the events of that time some more clearly than others Joe stood at the microphone and in front of the numbers men who had arranged the charade stated You say you have examined all the options and you have asked everyone for help But you havent asked me. Indeed they had not and it is doubtful if they had asked anyone outside of their narrow cabal. The supporters were not consulted and displayed their displeasure to apparent surprise. I did meet Joe at a match (on the Presidents table at a Richmond match) a year later and he had nothing but enthusiasm for the club, no condemnation with the actions of those he criticised but an obvious pleasure that the the club continued to exist in its own right. There were elements of the Establishment and a new order but Joe never dwelt on that. he did make a contribution to the club (a very generous one in $ terms) and while he was not perfect not many are. I will always think fondly of him and hope that he still finds some enjoyment in escaping from the reality of his other activities by watching the Dees competing. Hopefully the players can provide some success in that activity.

Take 8: Best of the rest - A new look at training Monday 14th
dpositive replied to Six6Six's topic in Melbourne Demons
thanks again 666 for comments and pics If you keep up the visuals we can get some commentary from the other training watchers. -
Thanks again KC you do a bit more than follow and provide some great insight into the club and fantastic game day reports so hope to see plenty of that again this year As stated hopefully the Demon Squad can provide the maturity and depth that will help Casey be consistently competitive. I would like to see the squad being used more creatively to provide match up and recovery flexibility. Of course this is only possible where injuries do not deplete the numbers competing for a senior role.

Great pics thanx 666 While there are still some skinny scrawny types the muscle development seems years ahead of usual and you seem to have captured them as they are really applying themselves. Good muscle definition and the expressions seem more intense as well. Are you getting the feeling that there is a greater intensity in their work than last year? -

Bloody brilliant P Man you must work in advertising -
The Provendor next door makes a delightful mango smoothie. As good as a meal. They do a berry milkshake and will see if they can come up with a Raspberry and Blueberry version. Also very sorry to read of Jazza's passing. As a greater observer than contributor I always enjoyed his comments and observations. Many of his references struck home with me reminding me of glories past chasing the elusive waves down Johanna way and my formative years at the back end of the cow. What a pity he has only seen the beginning of the resurgence. May his memory stimulate us all. Go Dees

If it aint broke dont fix it I tend to leave things alone if they are working well. I understand as a demons supporter that we do need to change to improve however and I thank all you people who provide this site with the apparent skill that keeps it going. If the club and players were able to emulate the same effort and success we would be celebrating. -

Like Jumbo Im not sure how this will affect me. But I hope I dont lose the ability to enjoy the demonland site which is my best relief and cheaper than a psychologist. -
Thanks for the efforts Tas and Good luck with the nomination. Is Mernda country these days? Where are you plying your trade other than here and the facebook site?
-
Well it does support a defence of these players and all our others who havent taken anything according to our records have naturally high levels.

I think the "public interest" has just been intensified. Russia FFS all athletes banned and international attention on individual, team, and code understanding of a drug regime. How does anyone think EFC with a case before the CAS can be ignored. I dont think the cat [censored] on the papers and they were all thrown out is going to wash with this charge. WADAand CAS cannot allow EFC to get away with there is no evidence cos I reckon we know what Russia will do if they do.

Thanks for the tips Our pick is for the card not just the plate so any other informed (or other inside information) would be equally appreciated. feeling very optimistic after the draft results so far Can even cope with losing Howe and Toumpas I am having faith that our coaches know the capacity of players and that these blokes just wont fit our requirements. Have postulated that Howe could become "Leaper Lynch" mark2"while Toumpas could be anything. But even if they are they wont hurt us at Collingwood and Port as we now appear to have a better balanced squad. Too much Footy?? Castagna wine tasting up here Saturday afternoon This is their annual tasting they do not operate a cellar door. Adams Rib was a stunner last year and "they" say that this years harvest is the best for many years High quality and intensity with volume as well. Probably not going to impact on prices Beechworth are always premium.

Anyone have any tips for Coxplate program. Mate and myself do a phantom tip of the card each year. we used to attend but are both now relocated to the country and do a virtual tip. Last year I had a shocker and he out picked me. Hes a doggies supporter and I dont like to give him too much to brag about.

Just waiting to see Essendon load up at the draft. Replacing those who are left will be a problem but not as big a problem when the 34 were all on their list. Perhaps AFL can assign each club one charged Essendon player so that the effect of any charge will be shared equally.

Dawes fortunately has more going for him than his goal tally. He provides a contest and makes space on the ground for Hogan who likes playing with him probably for those reasons. More importantly he has played in a final series and will add that experience to our squad. We can make the finals this year and as they say it is a new season. I will be hoping that Dawes is still there to help lift his teammates to that higher level when anything is possible.

True The players must deliver but they should be driven by the coaches who prepare match ups based on skill sets etc. Strategies must be considered by coaches while players concentrate on skills and fitness. The motivation which should be instinctive needs to be focused and directed by coaches.
