Buckenara: Dees List Overrated
I think we would have a better idea on the first & second year players ' @DeeSpencer '... Personal opinion is I only see Jordon, Sparrow & Petty as the chances to make it and that's probably not a bad hit rate given where we had the picks. The other kid we haven't seen yet is Nietschke so the jury is out on him until we see some game time.

Splitting Draft Pick 3
You sure love your little calculator 'Nev'...
-
Joel Smith
Fritsch has the 3rd tall role locked down to my thinking... Where does Smith fit?
-
Splitting Draft Pick 3
Simple, then we keep pick 3... That's what I'm saying. If anyone doesn't read your posts and want to give us 2 picks then we take them. ...but as you say, it's not going to happen. So...why should we trade down if we can't get what we want!!! Makes no sense to me.

Splitting Draft Pick 3
Agree with you 'Wise'. I think we keep pick 3 unless we can deal 2 picks in the top 10. On average this is where most talent comes, yep you get some exceptional players in the teens but for every Lynch you get a Cook. ...and as for those quoting points. Points don't play footy for you, it's a nice little side line to keep people with too much time on their hands busy. The only time they are of value is if you can trade into a good deal (player).

WELCOME TO DEMONLAND - ADAM TOMLINSON
He's been tried in the ruck and forward before and failed. It's just not his go. If he's going to play anywhere it's as a lock down defender. Anything else and he's lost, even Clarko can't fix that...
-
Mason Wood
Wood is a 3rd tall if that, not a key forward. I think we proved at the end of the season that Fritsch has that spot covered...then we also have Trac, Hannan and even Melk. Not a player type that we need I would think.

2020 Assistant Coach Prospects: The Next Batch
Just out of interest... Has Jennings got another job yet. I know he was looking to coach his won team.
-
Jamie Elliott
Didn't want him anyway...will be injured most of the time.
-
WELCOME TO DEMONLAND - ADAM TOMLINSON
He's been told...my info is not a rehash of Mahoney.. ...but you don't lock anything in.
-
WELCOME TO DEMONLAND - ADAM TOMLINSON
Tomlinson has been told he's being brought in to play wing... Whether that ends up being the case who knows but that's the position we've targeted him for. Howe was brought in to C/Wood to play forward and...things change.
-
Jamie Elliott
I'm guessing 2019...but 'bin' can talk for himself.
-
Josh Mahoney in the Media
Last time I looked 11 isn't in the top 10 so I would think something a bit earlier and 9 would be more like it...
-
Josh Mahoney in the Media
Interesting caveat on that...he said for 2 picks in the top 10. ...but happy to go with pick 3.

Brendan McCartney on SEN
Yeah, he does... Sometimes he would be better off leaving it to someone in a better position than him. He should be either clearing the path or making position for the next possession. His see ball get ball approach needs to be tempered with what is best for the team. When he can do this he will be a better player and better leader.

Terry Wallace's Analysis of the Dees List
Agree with you both...he's one of the few I take much notice of. He might not always be right but he's always well reasoned and does his homework. ...and I don't mind Cornes, he's entertaining. Not true, he actually barracked for Melbourne as a kid...

Great interview 'dazzle', thanks for posting. Makes me feel a bit more confident about next year...a good trade/draft period, some luck with injury and we will be up and about again...

Farewell Sam Frost
To be honest I thought we paid overs when we got him from GWS in the first place...
-
Farewell Sam Frost
...Vlastuin & Grimes can lock down an opponent when needed. Lever is going to have to develop this part of his game to be a better rounded player.
-
Farewell Sam Frost
I think he's going to have to develop into the role 'Dee'... We can't afford to have one man just hanging around for the intercept, he's going to have to carry his weight when required.

AFLW: Dees 2 New Irish Recruits
The 2 Irish girls look exciting prospects. It would be good if we could get back to recruiting Irish talent into the mens team.

Farewell Sam Frost
I would like us to try Sparrow here next season...he has the leg speed, is strong over the ball and in the air for his size. His kicking needs to be improved but I think he could be the answer. We have enough of his type in the midfield.
