  1. 3 days? Who do you work for? The Grinch? BTW, Mitch ain't dead. Bad example!
  2. If the bombers have pep I their strides and the tide is turning in the game, does that mean their on peptides. Some one call ASADA!
  3. Everyone knows that they were injected with a substance. The Bombers admit this themselves. Their Captain told the world he believed he took banned substances. It's already out in the open.
  4. What the? CW saying she won't name the players as she has a value base, yet the Herald Sun will, equals she has no idea!! This reads she got a lead saying the a Herald Sun have more information and she is jumping in first. What a [censored] and some respect her crap! I'm glad the name and shame game is beginning. Essendon have a lot to answer for and deserve to be run through the mud.
  5. Hogan has 2 years to go on his contract. Mini draft draftees sign 3 yr contracts.
  6. No 1. You heard it here first
  7. If he is not paid to train and get fit to play a professional game, what's he doing? Training is a big part of the reason he is employed
  8. 50k? You do realise a club can't make payments to a player outside the salary cap yeah? Given the club can't afford to pay 100% of its cap and Chip will demand good money, your claim has to be wrong. Your informant is off track to say the least.
  9. I'll add to this. I understand PJ that the club can't afford to pay 100% of the salary cap, and Chip is a Free Agent, but if you can pay me more to take some photos during training, I'll appreciate this. Forget the bigger picture, my photos are top notch. Yes I know a club can't pay it's players outside the salary cap., but my photos are more important to the club and its members than Chip playing against the gorillas in the comp. Seriously. Who would believe it??
  10. I'm all for players planning for life after football. But saying Mitch is planning to be out of football now is ridiculous. Haven't you read that he has been running the tan at a good pace. Me thinks he is training to be a footballer first
  11. Your funny WYL. You consistently write absolute crap
  12. It's seems to me supporters have been beaten to a pulp in the last many years. Standards and expectations are very low. I think the club has it right. Percentage will be the real indicator to our success this year. I read this as minimising our losses to the top teams. Therefore getting closer to being a top club ourselves in the future. Beating an undermanned St Kilda, will be a level higher than beating GWS! The players will gain real confidence in competing against the best teams for long periods. Roos isn't here to beat bottom 4 teams, he is here to set up a successful future. I'll take the win under any circumstance. But the club needs to be competitive against the league leaders. The best way for this to happen is to play the best regularly.
  13. Nothing good comes out of injuries. Be it with opposition clubs or ours. I won't be cheering Jack Stevens injury under any circumstances. As I said, I'd rather play against a full strength Saints side. If we beat the saints then cop more 100 point loses to the Hawks, Bombers etc, then a win against the Saints mean very little IMO
  14. I'd rather beat a full strength Saints side. If we are to be competitive we need to preform against the best players/sides.
  15. Great topic! I hope Trenners and Watts live up to their potential. They were touted as the top talent in the land for a reason. The club needs genuine stars and there is little reason why they shouldn't get somewhere near the top. If managed well! I also hope that Blease, Strauss and Tappy start to show their wares too. If these guys don't live up to expectations then the club has wasted a very good (draft) period, and the club has a massive hole (age) to fill. I believe part of the reason Tyson was traded in was to fill a gap in the respective draft he was drafted. With Mitch down we got very little from that year too
  16. If the club is smart, they will use the NAB cup as a tool to build confidence. a win is a win is win in the case of the club. Roos is not coaching the Swans any more.
  17. I'd take one of Daniher's roller coaster years ATM. Football was fun back then!
  18. The club has been talking about him developing as a KPB.
  19. Like a dog with a bone.
  20. stuie, I get your point, time to let it go. Off topic, have you noticed that when you type in your name, the auto spell comes up with the word 'stupid'. Seriously! It does
  21. Brown would fill a role of defensive half forward who kicks goals. Something the club lacks. Roos and Neeld spoke about recruiting big bodied players to protect the clubs young players. Vince and Cross are examples and in the Neeld years Brynes, Pederson and Rodan. Regardless of the success of the named, CB fits the mould. TBH, I really could not give a crap what happens with Brown. I was just making some points. The reality is our list is settled. He won't come to us. But I would like some more white line fever in our list. I want the club to draw a line in the sand with its performances. The club/players need to send a MSG to the football world and say we will be respected, and if you don't respect us, I will make sure you regret it. As I said previously. Gold Coast complained about the treatment served up by our club in relation to Ablett. A very big step forward IMO. We were unsociable, played tough etc. this should be a weekly occurrence
  22. This idea of Equalisation is a farce! The larger clubs get the best fixtures, therefore more exposure which means they grow at a larger rate long term than clubs like us. It's a long term plan that creates a welfare type dependence on the AFL.
  23. rjay, no need to translate what I said. I said if he is sacked he is a better option than Nicho and the club should pay out Nicho's contract and get CB. I called it bettering our list. CB is a better player than Nicho and I stand by that. Even if he is at the end of his career. I also said I m sick of our club being bullied and that CB would help our club to toughen up. I used the reference about 'Bruise Fee Football' I went on and used the example of Pickett (another thug). He was loved at our club but hated as an opposition player. A lot of responses made here are made because of the hatred for this guy. I believe he would stand up for our young list with his experience, and his white line fever. I stand by my examples of Brereton, Matthew and Lloyd.
  24. Brereton openly admitted to attacking Yeats from Geelong in a doco about the 1989 Grand Final. In his words he pretended to go for a mark but was intending to take out Yeats and he did not care what damage he did. Yeats took revenge in the Grand Final by breaking Brereton's ribs. Talk to Neville Bruns about Matthews. Mathews recently said he regrets taking out Bruns. Even Mathews called this act as thuggery. Campbell Browns hatred of Lloyd began when Lloyd took out a hawk player. It may have been the 'line in the sand' game when Brereton asked hawk players to stop being bullied by Bomber players advocating for his players to take out bombers players I could not care if they are champions. That's an irrelevant point. Pickett took players out with bumps on players away from the play. Yet he was loved as a Dee. Hated when he was a Power player Without wanting to debate the Jurrah issue, many supported him and his act of thuggery was far worse than that of CB Judgements here are biased due to hatred of the guy. Also, It's funny how mant get excited when there is inside news regarding drafting and trades, but FBPO gets grief for proving inside info on this issue.
  25. Sorta, but no
