Thank RM, I work in an industry where medication is administered. Policy says only a nurse can administer drugs with written documentation signed from the doctor. This documentation is to be viewed by clients and even so, the right of refusal is open to the client. If they don't refuse they are responsible for any issues that may arise. This is very basic policy within the industry. Same should be for any footballer.

I don't take any joy at this issue. I hate Essendon mostly as their supporters are feral. I like to watch Essendon play, but I am very suspicious when I look at their playing group. EVERYONE is solid through the core, hips and arse. Even Davey has good size for a twig.

Good point WYL. Jobe is not just any player, he is a club captain and high profile champion to the game. He sets the standard to his playing group and the club. He needs to act with integrity at all times. If he took drugs blindly without the going through the correct channels he is more guilty than the playing group he represents. If my personal trainer said take this IV, I would sound out advise from my doctor who I trust, not just any doctor.

I haven't involved myself in the nuts and bolts on this issue, but was a doctor directly involved in the administration or prescription of the drug Jobe took? If not, he is a stupid young man as he will need to take full responsibility of his actions which means the full repercussions of a ban and loss of his Brownlow. I get the feeling that the adjudication on this issue will occur at the end of the EFC's season, which will mean a short term ban to players occurring in per season. Then the Bombers only lose players to training. The AFL will argue that taking banned substances is akin to the tanking (but not tanking) issue at the Dees and they will get a $500000 fine. How long did Warnie get for swallowing a pill from his mum? Was it a year? Either way Jobe is AT LEAST akin to Warnie. As a sportsman if you take substances without direct contact from your doctor, you are stupid therefore negligent and guilty

I'm talking about our young recruits who have come from junior leagues. Even so, I'm not comparing Kent to Terlich or Jones. Kent has come from along way back playing in the Colts league in WA to the AFL. Impressive IMO

Hardness, application and skill. It's now up to the club to harness all of this

Has been a positive in an awful year. While he hasn't dominated, he has shown some very impressive cameo's. Out of all our 'young' draftees he has shown the most IMO (except for Viney, maybe?) Considering 12 games ago, 9 months, he was playing in the WA colts and has had no senior experience, he has adapted well to the speed and physicality of the AFL. Obviously he needs consistency, but he is hard at the ball and man. Give him a full pre season who knows what he can be. Hopefully he will buck the trend and 'develop" rather than tease

No one calls it theft. The thief takes something illegally, CS was paid out of his legally binding contract. -

How, or why should they be remembered in the same way when they walked on paths in completely different directions. -

I don't see an excuse WYL, stuie is trying to explain to you CS is not in the same league as Waldron. CS was not good enough in his role while Waldron cheated his way to success . A big enough difference even for you to comprehend -
From my understanding 5 of the 6 assistant coaches contracts are over at seasons end

Does anyone really believe his has been head coach of GWS? It's a big no from me!! -
No, put Mitch in full time rehab. His injury requires careful attention. He can have a holiday at seasons end. This time s crucial to his long term future

Rhino, where has it been reported that PJ has been appointed by the AFL? Both PJ and the AFL have denied any speculation on this issue, yet you think it's written in stone. I love how you claim this as fact when it's only speculation and base your whole argument around it. I actually like what WJ writes and have a lot of respect for him. Therefore I believe it. I think many others do too!

Mark Neeld on Footy Classified tonight
Demonsterative replied to dees189227's topic in Melbourne Demons
The MFC has wasted money by extending CS contract. Can blame a person trying to earn an income! -
Abuse is much like racism. The effect lies within how the victim feels. Somehow I believe Mark would rather be called Neeld than Nerd. BH and his cronies have little respect in the eyes of many. Name calling and jumping on bandwagons much like media. Next year under a different coach BH will be applauding The same players he is currently bagging. He seldom holds onto a thought for too long.
-
Does the constant reference to Neeld as Nerd a breach of the COD?

Too much change, too quickly, can be counter productive. Stay the course until the season end. McLardy (as alot of supporters) is weary of a man, who was in a position of power at the time, advocated for the destruction of our geat club. To me it's only natural to be suspicious of JK's motives.
