Who said it was the answer? It helps if used properly. The club re structured due to the reason that others were not up to task. A priority pick could mean a lot with our new recruiting dept.

Goldsack performs! Watts does very occasionally. The club needs performance. C,mon Pickett Fence, your roses are dead and you need to re plant. -
Buy a 3 game membership. It's less than $1 a week

Best you take a detour south and enjoy the wine and tranquility.

Bullshite. If this means we are a charity, therefore so is GWS and GC. The AFL are committed to an 18 team competition. The TV rights deal cements this. Put your hand out PJ. Gets picks and money for the club to pay 100% of its salary cap. We need attract good players and pay them.

A priority pick MUST be a given. Under AFL policy, if we don't get a priority pick, they may as well bench/scrap the policy. With Frawley leaving (another must) we should have picks 2,3 and 4. Sell two of them for top talent and keep Petracca.

You can't be serious! Shall we invite Neeld back?

Wow, this must be bad. The anti Roos club is occurring already.

Just another point. The club MUST pay 100% of the salary cap and get players into the club. It's just not good enough PJ saying the club can't afford it. Time the AFL gets involved. does equalisation start next year? -
A priority pick is a given. SURELY? 3 top 5 picks is our only hope to trade and recruit some players. Otherwise I'll pay my membership (as I fear the end of my much loved club) and not take much interest in AFL footy for another year.

Just on my last post. A Backline consisting of Jetta McDonald, Dunn Malceski, Reid, Cross/Howe Provides a good level of skills, experience, height and age spread. -

I don't think it's just a matter of who is gone, it's a matter of who holds some value with trades and makes us a better team after the trade period. The first to go, and I hate saying this as this board unfairly scrutinises him, is Watts. He has value with top 8 teams and hopefully we can raid a good consistent player. Watts just can't perform consistently. Goldsack for Watts is a possibility Frawley is someone we should force to leave. Why? Because a first round pick is on offer we can trade that pick out for a Mitchell plus Reid type trade. I think the club is ripe to force the hand of Sydney with the Buddy/Tippett/etc/etc deals. Roos and his influence and history at Sydney will help with this type of trade. Malceski is another I hope we trade for (3 or 4th rounder). This type of trade is a sweetener for the club arising from the Pick 3 trade. Others with some value are Garland and Grimes. Grimes maybe our captain, but his skills stand out in a team like the MFC. Jack Fitz is another who may get us another fringe player at another club. The Bullies may trade with us here. If the club can get Reid, Mitchell, Goldsack and Malceski, we are a better team. -
Wasn't Watts played on Queens B/Day for revenue reasons? I know the answer! Exactly why history should not repeat itself. Hogan kicking goals early next season will have the exact same effect on membership. If there is such a thing....

Players to target at the end of the year
Demonsterative replied to JackVineyForPresident's topic in Melbourne Demons
Mitchell is also being paid over $500,000 per year. The Swans need to pay for Buddy, Tippett and Reid etc etc in the coming years. The Swans will off load him at seasons end. -

Again Moon, he was traded therefore was a commodity! If Kennedy showed the same form as a Cameron, he would have been seen as an untouchable. Kennedy was underwhelming at Carlton. -

Also, fact is they did let him go. Can say they didn't want to when they did -

St P, i said he was underwhelming at the blues. The discussion started regarding Cameron from GWS being worth 2 high draft picks. The Judd Kennedy trade was brought up (maybe from me). I argued Kennedy was a speculative trade as his form was underwhelming. If Carlton wanted to keep Kennedy or not, is not the point of the this discussion. Thanks for your contribution tho. -

Actually, the blue supporters I know were very disappointed in Kennedy at the Blues. I'm not saying the club thought differently. The MFC has kept Watts for very similar reasons. Potential. It's all very subjective. That's the game we support. -

Fair enuff. I'll stick with blue supporters who thought they Kennedy would amount to nothing special. They were wrong off course. -

So Sticks, who is leaving a club in disarray, says something therefore what I believe is wrong..... I could say your wrong Andrew on both accounts. Believing an under performing President and on the Kennedy issue -

Disagree with you here Moonshadow. At the Blues Kennedy was a massive disappointment. He not only did he under perform, he didn't show a lot of potential. The club was happy to let him go. Subiaco is a ground that has suited his style of play and the Eagles have done well out of that trade. The kid is a star now. -
Agree with McKenzie Picket Fence. Martin has had 5 or 6 good games this year. Nothing to worry about. Everyone bites the MFC.
-
Hasn't the club tried that in previous years? The answer is yes and I can't think of of one worthy player coming our way.
