Now that's the kind of pie-eyed delusion that I can only admire. -

I'd like him to kick like Peter McKenna....and play the guitar. -
I'm of the belief that a truly great footy club leaves the players who pass through it's doors (no pun intended) as better citizens. Yes, it doesn't always go that way. i.e. Sylvia However, Chris Dawes is intelligent and articulate and conducts himself incredibly well. Did he succeed at Melbourne? Not really but you would hope and suspect that he will leave the club as a young man with a bright future and better for his experience as a top-line sportsman.

WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - MICHAEL HIBBERD

At what point did you realize you were wasting your time? Page 7 or page 15? Is it possible that you could fall into a similar trap if, say, there's talk of Dunn being traded?
-
I agree. It's all great fun. I park my righteous indignation at the door and roll with the rumours.

Sure WJ, why not! My daughter dominated in an under 9's netball clash (well, she fell over and didn't cry) so I'm happy to run through the six goals scored in 40 minutes of play.

Pretty sure it's Liam Pickering, hence lack of Lewis information. Take that as you will

Now I don't know if this has been posted before as I was just sent it....but some reasonably funny albeit tragic reminders.

Already ordered my Rockliff badge and just about to add his number to my duffle coat. Is that wrong?

Watched every game bar one but I must have missed those DS.

I'll lay it on the line and say I reckon we've got him. Would be very hard to look across the change room as a Premiership player and there's that uncoordinated clown Vickery on more coin than you. Bridge too far.

Has a thing for metre maids apparently

I hate Jordan Lewis mainly because he's a smug, talented winner. Get him.

2016 Player Review - # 18 Jake Melksham
Return to Glory replied to Demonland's topic in Melbourne Demons
I I'll be honest, he's a couple of kg's over but nothing that can't be addressed. -
Absolutely visionary. Why you're not our list manager I'll never know. And then maybe we can lure Drew Petrie out of retirement for a straight swap with Petracca.

2016 Player Review - # 18 Jake Melksham
Return to Glory replied to Demonland's topic in Melbourne Demons
My Essendon contact (I don't enjoy writing that) noted this about Melksham: There will be games when you are thinking 'how good is this bloke' and then he'll go missing or will dish up incredibly shoddy disposal. So in stating the obvious, for Melksham it's about minimising the shite games and not trying things in terms of kicking that are beyond him. Goodwin would have a handle on this you'd think. With a bit of luck we may be singing his praises as a great pick up rather than the new whipping boy. -
2016 AFL National Draft prospects: The next batch
Return to Glory replied to dee-luded's topic in Melbourne Demons
For what it's worth - There are four players that I looked at around the range of our second pick (according to some bloody list I saw), that I feel may be a fit. What I saw via you tube (yes, I know) can be fools gold. Still..... Very different players but I was looking for 'footy smarts'. 1. Myles Poholke - strong bodied, utility type who impresses but not sure he'll still be there. 2. Quinton Narkle - an indigenous smaller, hard running link player. I wondered whether he was quick to boot. 3. Noah Hura - touch of the Dean Laidey's about him re running from defence. I suspect he needs to not always take the game on but 'fire in the belly' type player 4. Taylin Duman - rangy half back, possible swingman. Strikes me as a risk/reward type player and once I got Cale Morton out of my head, I was able to look through impartial eyes. Disposal iffy? Not sure. -
I commend you KJ. So, just to clarify, when Neeld strode onto the ground at the start of the year a few seasons ago, you were getting on to Ticketek to book your finals tickets?

BBO, it's always better to believe the World is about to cave in at any moment. A little life philosophy of mine. Go Dees.
-
Yes, we always do well when we make claims about who we'll beat. I sat at the G for the certainties against Essendon and Carlton this year. Really enjoyable.
