  1. Dazzle, please tell me the punchline is 'for leather poisoning' and not something serious
  2. Take your point but right now there's not as much of a career to stuff.

If you hated it an hour ago, try listening to Kelli and Dermi.
  4. Have wandered down to see Jefferson play in the 2's (Frankston ground) previously and he's done well. And would love to see him make a successful transition to the Senior side. I was going to write that you can't teach mongrel, but I do think he doesn't project energy. He's a big player who somehow makes himself seem small. His posture alone shouts that to me. I couldn't be at the game yesterday but I seem to recall he played down back for Casey occasionally for spells and got involved. Is this an option for him?

Nothing that a set of crutches thrown at the head couldn't fix.

I know they beat us......but Norf players are just jogging.

Super, I hold a different view. I suspect some of their older players will be found out over the course of a long season. At least I hope so.
  8. I genuinely think he had no intention whatsoever of going for the ball. He made up his mind very quickly that he wanted to hurt his opponent. Had no interest in the ball whatsever.

If Gold Coast lose this, they'll have to expand their academy zone to Australia-wide.

Mac Andrew, a Gold Coast Suns AFL player, is reportedly set to earn $12 million over a nine-year deal, averaging $1.3 million annually. This contract is one of the largest in AFL history, surpassing even those of established stars like Lance Franklin. The deal also includes a potential extension that could see him play until 2034. Forgive that it's a question to Google

Is he not the highest paid player in the league or thereabouts? Very few defenders lose their head as much as him...if any
  12. Very underrated Demongirl35. Brings the oomph
  13. Just got home from the game. Thought Kozzy was best on ground by a country mile but obviously it looks different on TV. Langford...oh my wordy
  14. I'm genuinely excited at the prospect of renewal. I'm craving change now. Perhaps it's a naff thing to say, but Melbourne has experienced 'paralysis through analysis' both externally and internally. And it's damaged the club and, I suspect, most if not all within it. Of course, I'm not entirely sure what that renewal will look like except that new players will come along, some will make it and some won't but invariably despair will be replaced with a sense of hope and kids wearing badges with faces of up and coming stars. Give it three years...with the right people.
  15. That's a team that's not invested in the game plan and second guessing.

I'd have him at the Dees in a heartbeat. Terrific to see that smug team get done.
  17. I'm not sure about knowing more Nietaphart. I'm just a bit of a nerd when it comes to father-son stuff and have kept tabs on him.
  18. I'm not as sold on Kalani as others, but if he comes to us I hope I'm completely surprised. Did watch him in last year's championships and was underwhelmed. However, he's a slightly built tall and will definitely take time.
  19. Match reports didn't have him in the best for what it's worth.

He's a hard listen Hardtrack. And there's also the realization that the Toiges may beat us.
  21. Yeah, I did wonder about that. Although Mal Brown coached from a cherry picker outside the ground many years ago. It'd be a nice start to a Senior coaching gig
  22. Probably right. But can we have the best of both worlds and lure a Corey Enright type (I rate him) over as caretaker coach? Akin to a free hit.
  23. When he does leave (whenever that is), he'll leave as our Premiership coach. That's not nothing. And whatever the mood now, he's a famous figure of our club

Hindsight is 20-20 vision, but yes, we should have played him.
  25. It feels like it now. I happen to like Simon and he will always be our Premiership coach. I'd like to see him finish up but I also dislike the vitriol.
