So we need Sheed, and this seems to be the type of player we need, and we here on Demonland recognize this. Watch us take the guy that has more scope and needs more development. You can lock that one in!

They should have Anzac Day striped off them. Can't have the memory of our old diggers tarnished by these drug cheats!

AFL endorsed ticket. That way we can blame them if things go "[censored] up" -
Off site?

Ollie Wines. We need midfield GRUNT and we pass on Ollie Wines. And I know it has to do with list managment, but we let Moloney go when he is a seasoned midfielder and we need all the help we can get. We replace him with Rodan. Yeah we're doing alright aren't we?

What is your point?

Exactly. Impeding on their own development also. Can't drop or rest a captain, can you? I feel sorry for these two, especially Trengove. Great kid, love him but really putting a junior front and centre in this rabble is asking too much from anyone. Totally irresponsible decision from a football novice coach. New coach give the captaincy to Jones and be done with it!!

A recruiter with half a brain for starters.

BH turns into rpfc when his hunger is satisfied by a Snickers. Like in the ad.

With what Wines brings to the midfield, and what we lack, I am still a little upset we didn't draft Wines. What is this thing our recruiting guys have with drafting the kid with the silkiest skills over the kids that are more likely to have an immediate impact. If it was up to half the posters on this forum to do our drafting, we wouldn't be in the midfield mire we are currently in. I would have chose Wines, and he and Viney together in that midfield would have created explosions. What do we have now? Jones, Viney and a mixed bag of NQR'S. Can we please look at a couple of in and under ball magnet midfield tough nuts this time around MFC.

Agreed. If we don't go for pure midfielders with our first couple of picks at least, I just about give up!

Best use of an exclamation mark, ever. Yes Craig is clearly in the driver's seat for the coaching role, and he has proven he has the players on-side. If the Roos dream falls through I will be happy with Papa Craig.

No Garry Lyon. Hopefully this signals the end of his involvement with this club, he is now free to focus on what matters most to him; himself. Hairy Garry.

Lucas Cook lol

They are screwed, hahaha. Kind of feel sorry for Goddard walking into that rabble. Wait no I don't, what was I thinking. Anywho they'll be striped of their points and their finals finish, which is why AFL want the investigation finished by late August. Delicious. No doubt they will be stripped of draft picks in next years draft as you can't benefit out of a penalty. Also how many players will be on the sidelines for how long? Potentially this little affair can cripple the Dons for the next decade. Their reputation is already ruined as is that of the Golden Boy. Couldn't have happened to a more deserving club hahah.

I feel sorry for your nephew, but if you can collect some of his tears that would be great. I want to taste them.

Perfect, that would be great Friday night viewing. If they could do it before an Essendrug Shooters game it would be even better.
-
I just hope that if they strip Jobe of his Brownlow medal that it is televised, so we can see his heart break, and revel in the exact moment thousands of Essendrug supporters will no doubt be mourning. It will be sweet.

I'll judge him in 5 years time, when he has a mature CEO body.

Grimes in because he is a captain and if you're a captain you must be on the ground (see Trengove) whether you're fit or not. It's the Melbourne way, the way that saw Clark's career possibly ruined, and the same way we are likely to ruin other players by playing them under duress. Taking time and care with important players isn't a luxury only strong lists can take advantage of- it's a responsibility that all clubs must take for the list's sake. We fail at this epically. We go on the mindset if the players appear OK, then play them. We do not err on the side of caution and we could very well pay dearly for this. I just hope Clark will play again and I haven't been robbed of yet another dream; a Clark/Dawes/Watts/Howe forward line.

No, GWS will/have made the big guy an offer he can't refuse, and Buddy is gone. Why would they also give them pick 1? Hawthorn will get some kind of inadequate compo and GWS are free to use #1 however they chose.

Oh we trade or FA some quality mids just like that, seems so simple yet we've never done it. Somebody should email the club. We have no excess quality to use in a trade, our only option is to pay overs for a FA. Who is available, and in good health?
-
Hogan alone should do. Midfielders are "easier to gain through trade or FA" because there are more of them. The trick is trading in a quality mid- and just like quality KPP's, quality mids are not traded out under normal circumstances. Name the last quality mid Melbourne successfully drafted and explain to me how it's so easy.
