WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - BILLY STRETCH
Jesse Christ replied to e25's topic in Melbourne Demons
Are we going to be forced to use our first rounder on him; that is the question.. -
You didn't hear that from me, did you?

Injury List - Round 6 (Mitch Clark 6-8 weeks)
Jesse Christ replied to Bergly Sanders's topic in Melbourne Demons
Bad news came early this week. I was tipping around Thursday for some reason. At least we have longer to recover for our next bit of bad news- it's getting a little easier to cope with now at least. Sigh. -
and wankers. You forgot wankers.
-
My heart's not in "giving him hell" anymore. Kind of over it. I mean he done us a favour in the end didn't he? He is a hack and a dud number 1 pick and would have been an overpriced burden in a team lacking foot skills already. I'll actually thank him for giving us Hogan. Might even buy his old man a burger or two.
-
Meanwhile we have a coach who can't get our players to try for 4 quarters. That should be the first non negotiable when playing Aussie rules and Neeld fails big time at that, and whatever the reasons behind that (I do feel for Neeld because I believe his heart is in the right place) the fact remains that for this playing group, he is not a fit. Now be proactive and rectify the situation MFC or risk this club getting into a rut so deep that it can't get out of it.
-
Alright Don. Tell the members who have been through a life time of crap already to grow some balls. We are the most "ballsy" supporters out there, but for some of us it is coming towards breaking point. We will see what the club think about Neeld if he can't get us to play 4 quarterrs against GWS.
-
If Neeld can't coach and is losing the players it would be gutless to sit on their hands and do nothing about it. I would rather us admit a mistake in coach choice and find and get a more suitable replacement than put our heads in the sand to save face. Inactivity will kill us. How much more can the supporters take? Many are jumping off and more worrying where are our future supporters going to come from- who in their right mind would force their kids to support this team? We need to start playing 4 quarters and if a change in coach will achieve that we must do it regardless of how it makes us look. Move heaven and earth MFC and do something bold to turn this shite around!
-
The pressure on Neeld will be enormous if we go down to the Giants, and the sad thing is that it isn't out of the realms of possibility. I don't care what win/loss record other teams have- we are playing despicable football and it seems nothing short of a massive shake-up can remedy it. Make no mistake, we lose this match we will not win 1 for the season- such will be our confidence levels. Unless a miriacle happens overnight something has to change or we die a slow and public death. A major decision will have to be made on the coach and we must, for the sake of our sustainability, pull the trigger on a PROVEN AFL coach. One that can bring out the best in our players and get them out of this funk. We must find them and we must get them. We must be viciously proactive. Like I said, only a miracle will save Neeld. I don't believe in miracles.

GWS will start as favourites next week. How the hell did it come to this?!
-
What difference would it make? We need other things. We need a coach that the players will play for and we need more senior on field leaders. All the priority picks in the world won't help us right now- as we've already proven. We need established guns, three of them at least. Somebody on here suggested some kind of mini draft setup for us. That's what we need. Will we get that? Course not. We need to be better at the stuff that is in our control- recruiting, developing and coaching- the rest will fall into place. Priority picks- which in our case- have been proven to not be the sole answer.
-
Take Jamar with you.
-
We are officially behind the two expansion teams now. That is a disgrace.
-
There are lots of problems but the one that NEEDS to be addressed first is Jamar. He is killing us! Why do we always give such big contracts to spuds?
-
The "sack them" mentality isn't a knee jerk reaction, years upon years of ineptitude has finally lead to this. MFC is broken, it must be fixed. There are poisonous elements at the club, they must be sought out and eradicated. Or we can just keep going the way we have been and be no more in a couple of seasons. I would rather see heads roll then not having a club to support in 2015!

A Calendar of Incompetency - Patrick Smith
Jesse Christ replied to Range Rover's topic in Melbourne Demons
Stop opening them then. Go away! -
Schwarz has passion for the club and this club lacks passion. Pretty logical really. Obviously his presence alone isn't going to turn this club around but It can not hurt. Having someone who has been a part of a somewhat successful era and has worn this jumper before with honor may have a thing or two to pass on to this mob. In fact I call on any ex Melbourne player who thinks he can bring something to the table to visit the club. All input should be welcomed at this stage.
-
Garry only stepped in to help when Jimmy was practically on his death bed. Even then he only begrudgingly did it to help out a mate- and even then it was only because he was asked, not because he saw it as his duty- being that this club made him who he is today. He won't step in and be a savior of any kind. His life is cruisy now. Brayshaw shows how having a media career can work in conjunction with being a part of a board, Garry only gives a stuff for appearances. Deep down he doesn't care. Someone call Schwartz. There is a man who cares and has been shun from the MFC for far too long.

Maybe if we spam their inbox they will know we are serious! Maybe this is the line in the sand moment!

Why Cameron Pedersen fits in with the Demons perfectly.
Jesse Christ replied to a topic in Melbourne Demons
Yeah it did look bad, but I'm not going to write him off because of one squib. He's just adjusting to our shitness level. -
Devastated that we didn't even try. I could have accepted a loss because of where we are at in our development stage but what happened out there today was just depressing. We are going backwards. Every line is gettting smashed and no one seems to care. We are not a team. We don't play as a team, and I know there was a lot of debutantes in but that doesn't excuse lack of effort for your teammates in sport. Why are we so different from every other team out there? Where is our heart and passion? I would rather get beaten by the same margin but actually show some fight as opposed to what was shown out there today. I'd wipe all the names off the team whiteboard and pick a team of goers and send the rest to Casey.

Sellar?
-
I'm dead inside.

We are so unfit as a team, and we totally lack pressure. What is going on?
