AFL Round 13 - they're all non MFC Games
Jesse Christ replied to Whispering_Jack's topic in Melbourne Demons
School of commentary by Bruce Mcavaney; be grovely and use sexual terms. Done. -
Post Match Discussion - Round 12 (never in doubt)

Brayshaw was massive! Super aggressive and resilient and he's a bloody culture changer! -
Brayshaw is a wrecking ball!

I find him very vanilla, our little stu. Has the personality and the humour of a dried up piece of wholemeal toast

Stkilda at 3 makes me feel a whole lot better about last weekends game, they must be pretty [censored] if that's close to the best they've got

Delistings/trades at end of the season
Jesse Christ replied to Northern Summer's topic in Melbourne Demons
*you, *aren't. Spell correctly if you're trying to be a condescending, shouty brat. -
Same thing almost happened after the Essendrug win last year- Salem kicked the winner, all the boys celebrate and didn't get back, and Zaha almost kicks the winner after the last ball up in the final stages. Celebrate after the jobs done idiots

Delistings/trades at end of the season

We should approach Zaha with a nice offer, surely he can be enticed out of that moral [censored] hole that is the drugs -

We have Petracca and Trengove to come in next year and are still developing Stretch and ANB, I would be focussing on our KPPs particularly our backline. Would love to recruit a dogged shut down defender to team up with McDonald, I have lost faith in Dunn and Garland. Ideally I'd like to offer Dunn up for trade, I recon Garland will leave under FA- I'd have Frost as the perfect replacement for him -
He runs like Scooby-Doo. His legs run faster than the rest of him.

Dunn is a stupid footballer and is no leader. I've given up on Garland also. Both momentum killers. Would rather have Grimes in the team, his disposal was improving and he at least has some leadership qualities. Oh how we miss the rebounding speed of Frost and the creativity and speed of Kent. With all our list's NQR's we are at a critical mass of shitness. The quicker we can move on the remaining 20% of the old NQR brigade, the quicker we become better than competitive. Let's raise the bar higher gentlemen and women!

Jesse is ours to lose, we must keep our house in order! Talents such as his don't wallow in sad loser clubs, and he knows it. Wins and improvement and he's ours for life. Balls in your court, MFC

I would hate to be an umpire, would be a very difficult gig -
Fish in a barrel stuff this EOS. Would love to see a survivor style send off for a view just to mix it up. Like send all the OOC players off to an island and come back in 39 days and whoever is still alive will be offered a new contract

Nailed it. The guy can only do so much and it's not his fault that over 50% of his team mates aren't up to it

Demonland Player of the Year - Round 9
Jesse Christ replied to Demonland's topic in Melbourne Demons
I don't usually vote after a loss because I'm a downhill voter, but have to give 6 to Brayshaw for effort, and 4 to Hogan for being Hogan 6. Brayshaw 4. Hogan -
No more early calling of captains, it's gotten us nowhere. Although in saying that it is clearly a Hogan/Brayshaw combo..

New apocalypse date?

I am convinced Roos doesn't understand how to play the sub. The sub is not to be used for a player returning from injury looking for fitness, it also shouldn't be used for a starting 18 player. Also, if looking for a sub to come on they must have an attacking element to their game (in a scoring or assisting sense), and a pacey player is preferred. It seems his gone for meat and potatoe types recently, although in fairness the cupboard is a little bare

Nope, I'd still be happy with this even if his leg snapped right off at the end of the year. We owe him and shouldn't begrudge him a year when we've had spuds like Newton and Spencer getting gimme years.
