  1. Um, yes. Maybe it escaped your notice he was completely taking the [censored].
  2. Olisik, I don't agree with you much, but you're definitely on to something here, although pushing it uphill against a tide of people who just don't get it.
  3. Nothing you've said changes my original point in the slightest.
  4. Amazing how many of you turn so quickly from frothing at the mouth, dying to see Hogan play to 'oh, we weren't really going to see him much this year anyway'. Seriously, just admit you're as [censored] off as the rest of us that he won't be running out in Round 1 and save us all this 'that's just footy' rubbish.
  5. At risk of breaching the old rule about not arguing with fools, Watts is a very good pack mark up forward and an equally good floating backman. I did get it right. People call him a soft [censored] because he often looks like he is being lazy and doesn't lay a great tackle, which is a completely different issue.
  6. Tell you what, if he is injured and has to wait 10 weeks for his first game, I wouldn't want to be the first little peanut half-back flanker holding the ball when he is within 5 metres... Might be some more broken bones...
  7. This is an imbecilic comment. When was Dangerfield available and what evidence do you have to suggest we couldn't pay him $800k as well as Clark? In fact, as I put to Franky and now put to you: name me a single player in the last three years we've missed out on because we couldn't pay their asking price.
  8. Are you joking? Watts has been doing that consistently, and well, for years and it is disingenous to suggest Watts won't take a pack mark.
  9. No, I completely agree with the paying the memberships, club being in debt etc etc. That is an entirely separate issue. All I am saying is, we have to pay someone and who else, in the last three years, would you have thrown $800k at in preference? I'm totally not saying he has been value for money. But it isn't about all of us paying money into the club that's being squadered. We're not paying close to the salary cap as it is.
  10. Why do you care? We have to pay someone the salary cap, we already don't pay the full amount and aren't anywhere near salary cap pressure, or anybody else wanting more money that we can't pay. Our only free agent, Chip, can be covered with the cap as is, and by the time our young players want a pile, these contracts will be gone. Just don't see what the big deal is. You win some, you lose some.
  11. Surely, q u e e r is not censored...
  12. Tell you what, if they lost that group for any length of time, they are absolutely stuffed.
  13. Who gives a rat's bumcrack whether we beat their magoos? If that's who runs out for them, and we get 4 points, I don't give a stuff if my grandma got a game for them.
  14. How is this any different from the bucketloads of players who do stuff like buy a pub when they're playing? This is most totally idiotic thread I've ever seen. On any forum.
  15. Couple of observations: (1) are there more achilles injuries than usual?; and (2) interesting how many rookies (ie, draftees) are on the injured list, often with relatively serious injuries. I'm super glad we're treating our young kids properly and managing them through slowly.
  16. Thank god that's fixed!
  17. 1. Frawley, because he is one of the best in his position in the league and just needs a cracking season to be very close. 2. Howe. Very early days, but gee he looked good the other night, even being the sole target. It is pretty scary to think what he could be with two or three monsters around him, left with the third or fourth tall defender. 3. Bernie Vince. You heard it here first. He will absolutely tear them a new one in our midfield this year, methinks. Not saying they will be this year by any stretch, I just think they're the first three on the list when the time eventually comes.
  18. It wasn't Neeld. The only good thing that came from the Neeld era was good recruiting (think Toumpas, Viney, Hogan, Dawes, Clark, Kent, Terilch, Clisby etc) and it wasn't him. It was the recruitment team. People always bang on about the mistakes (Gillies, jury out on Pedersen and Byrnes) but I think people do forget just how good our recruiting has been for the last couple of years and how good the decisions have been in respect of letting others go.
  19. I love how on every Col Sylvia thread you chime in with this... And FWIW - I think he would have been found out even the other night against Richmond - our ball movement was actually quite quick and he would never have kept up. He'll be playing WAFL all year wishing he was part of at least the wins we will pick up, given he did go through the hard times as well.
  20. I was joking you dill.
  21. No apostrophe, my friend, unless you're talking about the Nazi's shoe or jumper or other possession.
  22. I'm not sure that he is, but am open to being pleasantly surprised.
  23. Or the patented Dunn torp up the guts. Farce.
