  1. Meh. Not starting 22. Depth at best. VFL clogger at worst.
  2. I'm not aware of the history of this - is that when we took Jurrah?
  3. I think the Moulin Rouge is pretty sleazy and, at heart, designed with exactly the same aim in mind as the LFL. And if you're suggesting I'm prudish, which I think you are, you're completely missing the point. Let's agree to disagree, shall we, or we'll go around in circles for weeks.
  4. LOL to equating lingerie stores with the Lingerie Football League. Give me strength.
  5. Ah, I'd be willing to bet a substantial sum that if you dug around and found out who the producers of this were, they'd be blokes. Ugly, sexist, blokes. And exploiting people in this way isn't excused by saying 'nobody forced them'. It is like saying prostitution isn't exploitative, because the women have a choice. Basically, if these women want to play football, they need to wear stupid outfits to get a TV audience. Providing the outfits and producing a show, to make money, is essentially exploitative. It isn't an accident that the people attending this stuff are bikies and idiot AFL players.
  6. Seriously? That's what it screams from the rooftops. Otherwise it would be called the WNFL.
  7. How can we possibly start to judge form at this stage?? We could just as easily be 5-0 as 0-5 - it is just completely useless to try to gauge this now.
  8. I am just sad that my best shots come from those types of lies, which I put down to a wealth of experience from positions like that.
  9. When Essendon decided to stand behind James Hird and defend all this, very early on, they really made a rod for their own backs. They had their chance to 'fess up, cut him loose and move forward. It is astounding that, instead, they are paying him $1 million, early, for doing nothing. Not even the most loyal organisations stand by disgraced figureheads this way and, to my mind, it is the fishiest part of this whole story.
  10. Good one! My answers in the quote. I've assumed full fitness and haven't thought about balance at all (maybe should...) . I have 19 1s - although I looking back I haven't included a first ruck as a definite because I think that's right up in the air. Obviously, one of them will get a gig!
  11. Toumpas will be fine - who cares how he plays, as long as he is picking up lots of possies and sending them in the right direction.
  12. Can't believe you are seriously questioning Watts' kicking action. Who cares? He's by far the most consistent, accurate, pinpoint kick in our team.
  13. Sure did. Waded through four pages of irrelevant overseas rubbish using a foreign Google service, and found a couple of stories buried. Which I thought maybe some nice person might help me avoid, given a 30 comment thread where everyone knew what was going on despite no context or links. Not a big deal, but jeepers you can be a git.
  14. Just being your typical helpful self. Thanks.
  15. Maybe it is because I am overseas, but could someone enlighten me as to WTF this is all about?
  16. Pretty hilarious that they can find piles of invoices to put into evidence when they're defending themselves against an unfair dismissal claim, but they can't find any records of anything else.
  17. Aaaand, here comes the next instalment of the concerted spin campaign in Hird's favour. http://www.theage.com.au/sport/cricket/weapon-to-blame-bombers-20131205-2yu08.html
  18. Think your sarcasm radar is on the blink rpfc - might need to get it looked at!
  19. Interesting that ASADA have appeal rights. Thanks od
  20. Well it was a bit harsh, given what they seem to be planning to give Essendon... They probably want it watered down. By the way, what's the jurisdiction here? That is, to whom do they appeal a Tribunal decision and what rights do they have to do so? Apologies if old ground from the Essendon thread.
  21. Thug. Was the same when we played against him when he was 13. Glad to see him finally get his due. A crying shame that he won't be charged for assault in Australia, which is exactly what he deserved. If he weren't a footballer, he'd be doing jail time.
  22. Bet they're not...
  23. Absolutely right, on both fronts. They've really missed out by not bagging a really strong older player (not bagging Davis, Ward etc)
  24. Fair enough Nasher, you're the mod. I disagree, but that's ok. I find it hard on Demonland to 'ignore to my taste', because that often involves trawling through 5 or 6 pages or irrelevance to find something about the main topic. A good example is the last two pages between your post and this one. Not a lot about the main topic in there... Anyway, rant over.
  25. They've gone about the whole thing so much more successfully than GWS, in my book. Which is odd, because you'd think that having piles and piles of high picks would work out. Then again, where have I heard that before??
