  1. Yep, all fair. Not sticking my head in the sand, but I still reckon he'll stay.
  2. A lot extra money is speculation at this point. He might love Perth but that will be overriden by playing for a good team. And it's Goodwin's plan that he loves, not Roos'. Freo are stuffed. You say they're not like Carlton, maybe they're even worse. Carlton have at least admitted they need to reset and are starting to come out the other side. Freo aren't even close to bottoming out yet, let alone rebuilding.
  3. I just can't see Hogan playing the next 5 years in a dismal Freo rebuild just to go home and make a bit of extra money. They are factors, but surely will be overriden in the end by the fact that Freo are in deep, deep [censored].
  4. I played juniors with Leigh and it's definitely Mon-TAG-na. Doesn't matter what it 'should be', as a few people have said.
  5. Don't panic mate, the first of many if you're like the rest of us!
  6. I think they won't drop Bugg no matter what, for the simple reason that the optics are terrible. They won't want the media to crawl all over Bugg about his goal and his lip.
  7. Gee that's sensational footage - brilliant that they make it available.
  8. The odds of them debuting at Metricon are negligible.
  9. I love reading these threads. Oliver doesn't come back via the twos. No, Hogan doesn't need to work on his action. He has been extremely accurate all year. Finally, some sense. And this. Why can't people see how important Harmes is? He and the fleet of small forwards like Kent, Kennedy and Garlett are absolutely smashing it.
  10. So nice that the response to games is no longer which deck chairs to shuffle.
  11. Look at our back end draw and come back to me...
  12. And unlucky to lose to North. Why do people always take the pessimistic view of this? We won. And then lost against North. It doesn't matter how the opposition play. In the end, what counts is whether we played well enough to get across the line. And we did.
  13. It's the same as anything else health wise where thinking evolves over time. No different to saying 'everyone used to smoke'.
  14. We could an 'Eat A Bag of the Week' award each week
  15. I don't know where else to dump this, but I happened across some highlights of our win in Geelong last year. How's this for list improvement - these names played in that game: Jake Spencer Daniel Cross Jeremy Howe Rohan Bail Jimmy Toumpas Chris Dawes Aidan Riley I reckon Dawes is the only one who would get close to a game this year. And we beat Geelong. In Geelong.
  16. I hate this argument. If we flipped it the other way, we'd have won about 12 games last year. 'Lucky' doesn't come into it. We beat them because they played badly.
  17. Viney grabbed the arm brilliantly once against St Kilda. Completely nullifies it
  18. Remorse isn't good enough. They just have to stamp this rubbish out - is players retiring at 22 not enough for them to take this seriously?
  19. Going early. We're a cert. We always match up well on them and we're even better this year. Essendon gave us the fright we needed. I don't think we'll ever play complacently when we should win again.
  20. Disgusting. Only way they can justify not giving him 6-8.
  21. And we could have got Sicily at 56, one before Hunt.... You're right though, and all of Hartung, Zach Merrett and Matt Crouch were there. And Rory Lobb would have sorted out our ruck problem... So, Billings and Lobb/Crouch or Tyson and Salem? It's genuinely a tough one.
  22. So breakdown has to look something like: 5 - Viney 4 - Jones 3 - Watts 2 - Pendlebury 1 - McDonald 5 - Viney 4 - Watts 3 - Treloar 2 - Kent 1 - Sidebottom Love trying to work these out. Clearly Roos would have given Tom Mc a vote, as Buckley wouldn't even notice a player like that. So did Roos or Buckley give Pendlebury or Kent 2? And who had Watts at 4 and no Jones? Probably Roos again I'd say
