It's a big yes for mine. I have Roosy's ear I'll let him know.

I would be really keen on Smith/Parker for pick two and maybe a re shuffle of later picks. If we could then manage to grab Savage with the Sylvia compo, Michie with a late pick/PSD as well as Cross it could be a very successful trade period. Would also consider a rookie spot for Ledger. Parker Smith Savage Pick 20 Michie Cross + late draft picks Ledger (rookie) = big tick for mine

State of Play - 3 October and beyond

'The Joker' Ledger is a delisted free agent so no trade required, VFL form was solid to good all year, Saints fans confused and disappointed at lack of opportunity. played final two games of the season as the sub and looked at home at AFL level. Young and very keen (heard him on trade radio on Tuesday). Definitely worth a look. -
I completely understand peoples perspective that free agency is damaging our chances to become the successful club that we all desire. My contention however, (like the AFL) is that the talent currently on our list is good enough to lead the revival. Now with an off field structure that will settle for nothing other than success and a coach that will propagate an excellent development environment, I'm of the belief that we are much closer to success than others would think.

Not suggesting that it would be positive for a club in our current position, I am suggesting that when we are no longer in this position it will be. Winning = Money, members, crowds, sponsors, respect and high end talent wanting to come to our club. When we have achieved all of these things and we are landing the 'big fish' we will be lauding free agency, just like Syd/Ess/Coll/Geel/Freo supporters would be now.

He is the perfect example of a Roos/Kennedy scenario. identify fringe players with the scope for improvement and provide an opportunity.

I'm getting might frustrated with pessimistic supporters suggesting that free agency looks after the successful clubs and penalises the lowly. This may in fact be correct, however there is a way for the Melbourne football club to circumvent this outcome....become a successful club that is a desirable destination for talented footballers. The attitude of resignation is how we got into this position and the woe is me attitude will not get us out of it.

My wife has been doing this for the past 5 seasons. The blanket looks great and is as warm as you will find. Great at Sunday twilights when it's cold and wet, hope we can stop having to fill that slot in years to come. Best of luck.

pretty sure he said someone with 20 to 30 games experience (19-20 years old) - up to someone who is 23 - 24 years old (meaning 80-100 games experience)

with it now 'highly likely' that pick 2 will be traded, I would surmise that the club have already identified and acted on the player/s they would like at the club next year. I thought earlier this week that the rumours or lack there of, suggested to me that the 'big fish' had already been landed or close to landed. Wouldn't be surprised if we have already done a hand shake deal with club x for player y. Hopefully x = Adelaide and y = Rory Slone

I have little doubt about the three Sheehan talked about, however, I have never heard him say a bad word about any kid he has had dealings with through the TAC/Cimbine -
With his arm span taken into account he is 1cm bigger than Sandi, will be an absolute jet Look at the development of Big Will, these blokes take time. If he keeps his body right I have little doubt that Big Maxy will be the elite of the elite!

We have identified a handful of players worthy of pick 2, Adams is not one of these. There will be a big fish, I like the fact that no one knows who it is.....keep them guessing, as a club we no longer leak like a sieve. My guess for what its worth, is one of the already mentioned, Slone or Swallow. Happy with either.

Michie tore the meniscus in his right knee. Out of contract, very interesting if true

Get Conca, right age, right skill set. Richmond have stated they will be looking to bolster their ruck stocks, Jamar and 2nd round pick (19 or possibly priority pick 18) could get this deal done

Could be Roosy's next Kennedy project. Identify Entice Develop Reap the rewards!

I have never enjoyed reading Demonland as much as right now. We deserve to revel in victory! The joy, enthusiasm and passion is enough to make you shed a tear. Lap it up fellow Demons, nothing will dampen this day, its one we will remember for years to come. And to Jimmy , today you would be the proudest of us all. You set this club on path back to greatness, and today we have taken one almighty step forward. Wish you were here to see the smiles on the faces of the most loyal and passionate fans. Rest easy big fella, our club is in the best of hands.

GET IN!!!! Cant wait for Paul to stand on the Grand Final dais and say "For all you Demon supporters that have waited so long.......HERE IT IS!"

Jack Trengove tweet. "B&F tonight! Marks the end of another chapter for the MFC"....."I know we're on track for next season and onwards" Make of that what you will.

Don't stress folks. 'No news is good news' The longer this takes the more certain I am we have our man. PJ is a shrewd operator and would not let the line go slack until the fish is in the net.
