  1. It's finally over. Well done Tom I never thought a player leaving his club could be done worse than Gary last year, you proved me wrong. Not the first time either, I thought i would be sad to see you go I was wrong again. Enjoy your money while we LOYAL Melbourne people enjoy the premierships!
  2. I hate seeing long term injuries to the stars and future stars of our great game. Buddy and Menzel on one night, and the poor young bloke looked shattered after the game. Weather they are playing for the MFC or ripping the game open against us I want to see the best play. Good luck to both and hope to see them back as good as ever ASAP.
  3. I am as interested as any other demons fan, but PLEAZ don't tell me the club won't be as good if not beter off if sculls leaves. I'm a massive Scully fan and will be no matter where he plays his footy but "we" including Tom will be better off when we know his future. For the sake if the Melbourne footy club (1st) and Tom (2nd) and the members & supporters (3rd), please make an anouncement one way or another.
  4. I would love to see him resign. I'm still a big wrap for him. He is one of many that has had a really bad run with injury and if he can get some consistency and confidence I think he can live up to the lofty expectations we have all placed on him. A new coach. A big pre-season in the gym. Renewed confidence. = the Andrew Embley style star.
  5. Morton is quickly becoming MFC's version of Brent Stanton, the hate leveled at him is a black mark against Melbourne supporters. Time to lay off the young man.
  6. Looks pretty good, but needs a power forward and one more hard bodied mid. Need to be aggresive during trade week and then i think that we could be a real finals force. Oh and of corse a new experienced coaching staff.
  7. Dont know who will be in and out, but do know that it should have absolutly nothing to do with where Casey is at. They are our affiliate not the other way around. Good luck to Casey but i want selection to give the MELBOURNE football club the best chance to win on the weekend, winning breeds winning and we need to give ourselves the best oppertunity at the Adelade Oval against Port.
  8. WOW, that was like looking in a mirror.......Very funny though. they will be screams of joy soon enough. Nice work.
  9. I cant wait until trade week they have been getting bigger and better every year, and i think we could be a major player this year should there be an strong bodied mid with leadership qualities up for grabs.
  10. Are Colin's holiday plans realy a talking point? If he was going to Burke would we think he had singed with them??
  11. I love this bloke, not just his speed but his attack on the ball and his confidence to take the game on. Have heard time and time again that a broken leg is a two year + injury and thats about where Sammy is at. I really enjoyed the catch cries in a fearly dull crowd on Sunday, every time he got the ball the crowd lifted "RUN SAMMY" He is going to thrill and provide alot of great moments for our club for a long time to come. Good on you Sammy......Keep Running!!
  12. Blease was the sub in his first game and was very stiff to get dropped. If he continues to play as he did today it will be a long time before he is dropped again.
  13. Don't know, there's still a half to go! It's a worry!
  14. Would love to get MM, but its this year or never. The last thing we need is another year in limbo, no more "development" years we need results! If he sings well and good, we will have to wait until after the finals, if not, sign the best available and let all the members and supporters move on from 2011. We deserve clarity, the club needs to be bold and proactive, in my 20 odd years supporting it is something that has been lacking, dont let others dictate OUR clubs future no more reactionary decisions time to take control of our own destiny. proactive NOT reactive, the time is now!
  15. We will have picks to trade and sweeteners such as Bate, Dunn and Maric. Why on earth would we trade quality blokes that will be part of a push toward a premiership! You don't get something for nothing but first round picks get trades done.
  16. Scully is not even a middle of the road footballer, may be one day but for now we should take the 2 first rounders and thank our lucky stars.

    Bennell

Best game I've seen him play. I'll give him credit, but needs to continue
  18. And that's sad for us we started the re-build before them and there for should be well ahead. Sad day for us I think we finaly have to realize that we have a hell of a long wat to go. Jim talked about base camp, well there has been an avalanche and we are back to the bottom.
  19. Easy to praise Sylvia after that game, what about every second game when he goes missing. Today's game is an indictment on Col, so much talent but dose not show it often enough.
  20. Out Davey, Sylvia (both suspended), Scully. In Bail, Jetta, Tapscott. Don't know if I watched a different game but thought Morton was good. Davey should not play again this year suspended or not. Jurrah will prob play next week but a couple of times today showed a complete lack of desire for the hard ball. Scully will be the highest paid player possibly in VFL history if the $ 1 million price tag is correct and will be well deserved. Disappointed!
  21. I agree i was very keen on him in 09, has battled with injury but showed alot of class on the weekend in an poor side. Get him now while he is cheap. Imagine the forward line... Aussie Jack Liam Butcher Cook Petterd sound good to me.
  22. Neeld or Sanderson for mine. both come from winning cultures. Just depends what style of footy we wish to play... Neeld will impliment the defensive press and Romals triangular attacing formation (or whatever mick called it). Sanderson will bring the uncompromising Geelong bash & crash, along with a focus on skill and team predictability (everyone knows what their team mate will do next) Laidly as senior assistant, great tactition and said he would love another oppertunity with a club that had the finance to support the football department, Melb is well on the way to this. i would like to see Scott West stay, but the new coach will appoint their assistants. This is of course assuming Malthouse's word is final. which it porobly is.
  23. 6. Howe 5. Chip 4. MacDonald 3. Blease 2. Garland 1. Petterd Thought the four key backs including Riv tried hard all day against an oversized West Coast forward structure. Not easy with the amount of easy midfield turnovers. Blease and Howe were fantastic another two great young kids to add to the list of many.
