We've Gawn out in straight sets. How does the Club respond during the player draft/trading period? Does it: a. undertake minimal list changes in the belief that a couple of game style tweaks and natural improvement in player development and skills can deliver a flag in 2023, b. undertake a minor list renovation, moving on a couple of good servants that are unlikely to play in our next flag, c. undertake a moderately radical list renovation, moving on eight or so players, including at least a couple that played in the 2021 flag, or d. do something else? Demonland is like any other community WCW. We come together because we are all Demons, but there are many different experiences within the Demonland community. And most people's knowledge, including QD's, is at best, partial and incomplete. Our respective horizons may be opposed dialectically. What in one is found intelligible, in another is unintelligible. What for one is true, for another is false. What for one is good, for another is evil. Each 'Lander may have some awareness of the other's viewpoint and so each in a manner may include the other. That's what we do. But we are human and all of us, at least in part, are seduced by wishful thinking, to an acceptance of myth, to ignorance or fallacy, to blindness or illusion, to backwardness or immaturity, to bad will and to a refusal of truth. I have confidence in Goody and the Club. After the horror of 2019, a significant number of hard decisions regarding the list were made. The side that won in 2021 was quite different to the ones we took into the final rounds of 2019. The Club turned it around then - I see no reason why Goody won't make hard decisions over the next couple of months and we reset for another run at it in 2023.

No, not at all WCW. That's what I meant when I said "that would be okay". Anyone else - not okay. And yes, we are total besties. Actually, in the Positives from 2022 thread, I was going to mention that a positive for me was getting to know a couple of 'Landers somewhat better. You're definitely one of them.

And while we’re at it: The IT department have also been silent. I’d be very suspicious. HR need to have a good long look at themselves. Employees punching up in Prahran is really not on. Who's running HR down there? Building Services is crap. The toilets were disgusting at 11pm on Friday. Sales also need to look in the mirror. Only a 14 percent increase in membership after a flag leaves a lot to be desired. And as for the engineering department . . . don't get me started on Goody - that's all I can say. Really and truly . . . what the hell is going on Pertie?

Um . . . . because BBB helped us win our first premiership in 57 years. Quite frankly, I don't give a FF if BBB never gets another kick. He stood up in a grand final and we won a flag. He'll always be a Demon premiership player and forever a legend of the club.
