  1. What would Little Timmy have to say about it @old55?
  2. Come on @Bitter but optimistic . . . you're better than this. Who does he work for and who is the target audience?
  3. Be careful not to run into Shirley Maclaine @jmac.

  5. Surprising. All three were t#$%s and are unreconstructed p%#(Ks.
  6. Don't worry about the infamous Benella Bikkies. I hope for Maynard's sake it wasn't May. Sheez!
  7. I have a history in the law and in building. So I have strong views on both lawyers and mortar. There are some similarities.
  8. Game over . . . post of the year right here.
  9. @spirit of norm smith . . . WTF makes you think a Filth player would have even heard of Shakespeare, let alone read him or understood him?
  10. Iโ€™m out in Dandenong doing something for a friend. Iโ€™ll need to be fumigated on my way back to the MCG. Im not making any eye contact out here - is good training for Head Quarters tonight.
  11. I love Jake - but I must admit - I don't see leadership stamped all over him. Waving your arms about and shouting isn't necessarily the peak leadership experience. If Max retired today, Viney would be my man.
  12. Brodie is both a participant in, and the victim off, the pernicious consequences of the diverse forms of neo-liberalism, the market-economy, and the populism of the meat-market known to us as the AFL. All souls are available to be sailed up the river by shameless, self-righteous and conniving sleaze-bags. If heโ€™s feeling betrayed, I cannot blame him. Yet, we all play a part, consciously or not, in our own betrayal. And on a reported $1.2m per year for seven years, guaranteed, my mercifulness toward him is somewhat circumscribed. As they say in other places, Brodie has what can be termed, โ€œa better class of problemโ€.
  13. We would have become a quarter of the player he turned out to be instead of half the player he was.
  14. I caught up with a few family members. They seem like nice enough people.
  15. I would love them please @Dante.
  16. Hey @Engorged Onion. Thank you for your well articulated and thoughtful contribution. I agree with the notions expressed in your first four paragraphs. What I would say is this. The Love Shack and Jack Watts share the same characteristics, one of which is the inability to exert themselves physically on a game. This is not a lack of desire, but something that just isn't in their genetic make-up. I don't have it myself and this made me a very average footballer. 45 years after giving up on football, I know I definitely have 'hunger', but it expresses itself in a different way to that that is expected of footballers. Aussie Rules is a brutal game, and for some of us, so it is in life. Yet, somehow, hunger - expressed as resilience, tenacity and persistence, get us through the difficult encounters in the same way that toughness and brute strength are relied on by footballers. Once again, thanks for your fine contribution. QD.

  19. In 1972, Chinese premier Zhou Enlai was asked about the impact of the French Revolution. "Too early to say," he replied. If GWS or St. Kilda make it to a preliminary final, their bloke surely is CoTY. Our bloke is CoTY when we [censored] the Filth in the granny.
