Jack Martin
I'll tell you why it's a salary issue, he's reportedly looking for $650-700k per season. What has he done to earn that, nothing but potential and he's not a ball winning mid or key position player. It sets a bad precedent paying overs for a player who's not fully committed to the club Trac, Fritsch and Harmesy are all up for renewal next year. What do you say to them. I maintain my stance, chase him by all means but don't be negligent. If Blues want to throw coin at him he hasn't earned so be it

2019 AFL National Draft Thread
If it were my choice Pick 3 after the Green Bid Hayden Young - like his penetrating kick, could be very valuable in transition Pick 8 - Brodie Kemp has so much versatility and despite the knee injury I would take the punt on him.
-
Splitting Draft Pick 3
if they are only moving 2 places up the (10 for 8)draft we'd need to trade the 2020 second rounder we acquired for their 2020 first round selection

What to do with what is now Pick 74?
Liam Mcbean?

Why would you draft a player who doesn't want to play for you and he's already shown he doesn't perform in an environment where he's not happy. I'm all for us trying at the right price, get Nev and Flash to meet and chat with him. If he's still adamant he doesn't want to come then don't take him

Brodie Kemp (drafted by Carlton)
Whilst the injury was after we drafhim Petracce recovered quite well from his ACL We are drafting him for 10 to 15 years if we decide to do so

Manager just on SEN advised Melbourne have been in contact with him and he advised Melbourne Jack was focused on joining Carlton

Brodie Kemp (drafted by Carlton)
Yes agree with the salary issue and I don't expect the FD to be negligent in any offer to Martin, who despite his obvious potential has shown little consistency or desire to get the best out of himself

Jack Martin
No doubt we will speak to him and do what we can. I don't think we'll be negligent to our cap with an offer. If we don't select him there will be a decent reason eg: price

Brodie Kemp (drafted by Carlton)
Yep my mistake hadn't realised I typed 2nd. I meant 1st and I'd rather take 2 picks this year in the top 10. Since only picks can be traded now and not players I'm not doing the trade unless we know nobody will take who we want before pick 6
-
Brodie Kemp (drafted by Carlton)
I'd take him with 8 and best available at 3. I'd also be getting Wrecker, Flash and Nev into Jack Martin's ear for pick 2 PSD. Bid for Green at number 3 and if we get him then you wouldn't take Kemp but go for a smaller ball user I'm not keen on GWS 's future 2nd rounder next year. Not doing them any favours

How do you rate our trade period?
Don't tell me Vera Wellington is having a whinge.

Apparently Saints medical staff identified same issue as Dogs and came up with the same outcome

Farewell to Our First Pick in 2020
Read through this thread, it stands out like the preverbial. Only comes on here to slate Viney, Mahoney and Goody. Not a Dees fan that clown

Farewell to Our First Pick in 2020
Hey Rusty, I don't ever respond to that troll, waste of time and oxygen. I think they will take Jackson for a few reasons As Sandis long term replacement, Darcy is contracted for another 2 years but Cats have been keen on him for a while. Darcy struggles to run out games and they would like to play Lobb forward more I know they have been keen on him for a while They have been burnt a few times with the go home factor and he's a Freo boy born and bred

Jon Ralph says Demons are effectively a basket-case team
You brought up the death word when talking about milestones. Good night

Jon Ralph says Demons are effectively a basket-case team
I was at the Broadbridge game it wasn't a milestone. The team played the way they should for a fallen brother. And you know what 10mins in and the 200/250/300th games aren't milestones either for a team. They are individual milestones.

Compromised 2020 Draft
Bont , Stephen Hill, Paddy Cripps Clarrie, Trac and Stephenson weren't rated to go high a year out from their draft John Butcher, was predicted to go top 3 a year out from his draft At least half a dozen will bob up from the fringes to top 25 in the next 12 months who won't be academy or father son

Bollox, our first final in 12 years was a milestone if you think otherwise you're kidding yourself. Please explain how a game after a death is a milestone ( this will be good)

Jon Ralph says Demons are effectively a basket-case team
Is that this side, No But since you probably don't no we won both those games I asked about and the first final in 12 years. By your logic the GF is not a milestone FFS. Think before you type
