  1. Did you applaud the commitment of the two NSW truck drivers, because it’s the same thing. They didn’t believe they had it either. It’s ironic that a Restauranter is involved considering how hard it the hospitality industry has been Anyway I’ll agree to differ because I’m not getting into post after post on this as it should be all about us breaking the drought
  2. And this is how Covid spreads, and what puts jobs at risk. People who think the laws don’t apply to them. Whilst it appears they weren’t positive they have put themselves before everyone else. If either of you two Burbank and Babbage are Deelanders, seriously have a good look at yourselves. Absolute flogs
  3. Thanks Vanders, gave us some toughness when it was needed. Good luck in whatever the future holds
  4. Absolutely love Jetts as a player, between 2016 and 2018 possibly the best one on one defenders going around. Should have been an All Australian at least once. Loved by the indigenous boys and a real mentor. Really hope we keep him on board in some capacity
  5. I think it’s insignificant Trac has 2 medals from 2021 McRae would love
  6. Nothing, but whilst they may wish to pave their own path, outside of # 31 I think 2 and 11 hold great significance for the club. Flower and Jones were shining lights in very dark times for our club
  7. I’d like to see Tom Sparrow get it
  8. I was in shock for the last 35 mins, covering the last bit of the 3rd and the 4th quarter. I guess I never knew what it be like to win one and it must have been years of scarring but I didn’t think we’d actually won it till we went 50 odd points up( might have been Frittas 5th) Id always expected tears on the realisation I would see it, but I didn’t. Two friends of Krystal Petrevski were sitting in front of me and we were high fiving every goal. They told me they were new supporters because of Krystal, they both had her #31 on and during the game I explained the significance of the number to Demon supporters b When the siren went and I started to sing the song that’s when the emotion hit and the tears flowed, one of the girls turned to high five me and it was like an acknowledgment of ‘ this is what it means to be a long suffering supporter” she just said congratulations mate you look like you earned this, you enjoy it. It was a great moment
  9. Dogs lost elimination final vs Adelaide in 2015
  10. That’s Bevo mate, he had backs against the wall theme all throughout the finals and it served them pretty well. I don’t feel sorry for any supporters, I empathise with many after what we’ve been through. Our supporters are and have always been a class act. Let’s be powerful, humble and stay classy
  11. It’s the difference between them and us. I want to be hated because we have the best team going around not because our supporters start behaving like some of the other teams supporters. Let the team do our talking
  12. 6. Trac 5. Oliver 4. Fritsch 3. Brayshaw 2. Jackson 1. Salem
  13. @old dee I hope you enjoyed that mate. I know this year has been tough on you. I was stunned watching that second half and not ashamed to say the tears flowed singing the song at the end
  14. Maybe he’s not the right guy😁
  15. Absolutely churning in my stomach, 88 and 00 wasn’t like this maybe it’s the reality that we are favourites, or maybe age. So proud of this club, we will have the majority of support, I have handed out countless scarves, tee shirts, hats, flags and jumpers for friends and family to wear at the game or GF parties. I could have given three times as much away the support for us has been that big in Perth and the requests I received. The boys have embraced being here and their time out of quarantine has seen Perth people adopt them. I’m still pinching myself for so long from 2004 to 2017 Perth was a place we didn’t win in and we were pitied. Now we may finally break the drought here, why not, we broke the 12 year finals drought here when we won in round 22 of 2018. It’s game day and there’s been a lot of pain to get here but despite years of scarring making me believe it would never actually happen (even at halftime in the Prelim) I have woken today thinking it’s time. I want the boys to win for Jonesy, Nev, Jimmy, RDB, Sean, The Rev, Bails, Robbie, themselves and for those supporters no longer with us. But most of all I want a win for those of us who never gave up and endured the pain of this journey. You have all earned the right to enjoy this, I feel for those of you who through no fault of your own can’t be there, but I hope the boys do it for you and make you proud. It’s our day let’s go Dees
  16. Jed Hagan is a freak, his running ability, tank and desire are like nothing I’ve seen since Ben Cousins. I reckon he’s shooting up the draft boards next year and both WA sides will be trading with a view to him next season for the 2022 draft
  17. The week has dragged, but I woke up this morning with butterflies in the stomach which were around for most of the morning
  18. On another note, we don’t ever have to worry about any of our boys jumping codes to the round ball game. They played 2 soccer games as part of their warm up, talk about looking out of place. Good bit of fun for the group and sets a good tone for enthusiasm of nothing else
  19. Not much to report, they’ve broken up into 3?groups and rotated through drills. Drills were based on transition footy, ground ball work and close congestion work. Pretty basic stuff with a focus on tomorrow being a full hit out What looked like the mids group worked on transition from corridor turnovers when they were together. Defenders in that drill worked on transition from ground ball gets and intercepts. Forwards were very much working on ground ball wins finding space and converting. All groups worked on one on one contests focused on breaking the initial tackle and also working your opponent off the footy. There was also a drill working on short kicks on the 45 and quick ball movement between the arcs and on a wing All finished now, more just turning the body over. Gus is out there walking around great to see Tomo involved in warm up and he did rehab after that. Pert, Lever and Gus answering questions while the rest have shots on goal

I cycled down West Coast Hwy near Trigg/North Beach area yesterday morning and saw Goody out and about walking (at a fairly decent pace) around 6am. According to one of the girls coming into work today around 8am she saw the team bus heading in to the car park area at Leighton Beach, which is a fairly decent hike from the team base in Joondalup. Seem to be making the most of their days and freedom
  21. Remember going into the Subiaco Social Club after losing the 06 Semi Final to Freo, Danners, Brad Miller and Jones came in. I bought all 3 a beer and had a chat. Chunk was just a kid in his first year. Back then he had hair and played with his socks up. Over the next 12 years he was an inspiration and a warrior who gave everything he had to us. It was great to see him play finals again in 2018 and kick the sealer against Geelong. Unfortunately for Chunk Father Time has caught up with him when we are close to realising a dream. His performance in the #2 has been befitting of its status. I hope it is passed down to a player who has earns the right to wear it. Thank you Jonesy for everything you gave and did for the club. You may not be on the ground next Saturday but you have played a big role in getting us there. Best wishes to you Geri and the family in life after footy

Lathlain has two ovals, the old home of the Perth Demons is fenced off so can be closed off, the exterior MCG size oval is the one you can’t close. Yesterdays session footage is from Arena Joondalup
  23. Sorry mate we had our Year 10 boys playing in the GF at the same time and I watched that game so didn’t see the girls till they came back to the rooms to celebrate. The boys I coached last season got caught out by playing on a smaller oval in the GF. We were far quicker and had greater endurance but we struggled to match a bigger opponent in wet conditions on a smaller ground
  24. Got my tickets and whilst I’m ecstatic, need to be humble as I’m still a little sad for all those back in Melbourne who through no fault of their own cannot attend. Special thanks to @Lucifer's Hero what you have done for my nephew can not be put into words. Throughout my correspondence with you relating to the barcodes you have shown what a generous person you are who cares for others. I really hope Karma comes back and touch wood you get to attend the last day in September next year to see our beloved Demons
  25. Was that the 7/8 Girls at Scarborough yesterday. If so it was against our Sorrento Duncraig Yr 7/8 girls who brought home our clubs first ever girls Premiership
