Farewell Luke Jackson
We were Cerra’s club of choice, but a trade could not be facilitated. All of a sudden Carlton we’re his club of choice

Farewell Luke Jackson
Absolutely, they will be doing a lot of number crunching and pre planning of future players coming through. They have plenty of young talent coming up for contract renewals in the next few years and will also be aware that Darcy and Meek will be a good pair moving forward. They know Jackson won’t come cheap in terms of picks and/or players so will be a fine balance on their part.

You do realise most of the side from the 90s came through their zone don’t you. The backbone and core of that side came through u19s under Pagan. Nothing to do with attracting players, Dean Laidley couldn’t get a regular game at West Coast and Peter Bell had just been delisted by the Dockers after playing 2 games

Farewell Luke Jackson
My mail is he is leaning towards staying and biggest decision relates around length of contract. The money is not an issue, he knows he will be well paid and the next contract is the big one I anticipate a 2 year extension

2022 NAB AFL NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIPS
Rueban Ginbey from East Perth is one I understand we have an interest in. WAFL Stats say 189cm but reckon he’s now around the 192-4cm. Very versatile utility who can play across the backline and through the middle.

Farewell Luke Jackson
Love Jacko, and would love him to stay, but if we want sustained success the conversation will be happening asking Jackson what he wants and if it’s to leave you look after #1 and get the best deal for the club moving forward Oscar Allen and a first round pick gets it done for me. #1 pick Tom Scully leaving effectively got us Hogan who got us May AA defender Frawley leaving gets us an extra first rounder seeing us nab Bradshaw and Trac I dare say Trac, Gus and May were all vitally important in us winning the flag last year. No player is bigger than the club, keep evolving and improving I have great faith in Jason Taylor making the right decisions

Best drainage, it’s built on sand, not much better drainage. No matter how heavy the rain gets at Optus it drains fairly quickly

2022 AFL National Draft prospects: The next batch
I posted this on another thread Been a long time since I posted, work, coaching and kids sport sees very little downtime currently. I couldn’t make Sundays game at Optus as my youngest was playing community football, but I was at my oldest boys school footy on Saturday Wesley vs Trinity and Tim Lamb was also in attendance. Not a lot on show for Trinity, but I expect Wesleys captain Rueban Ginbey to move up the draft boards this year, medium defender around the 192 mark who’s already debuted for East Perth senior side. Not really big enough for a KPD, but really good third tall, hard at it, nice left foot and good intercept mark. Aidan O’Driscoll potentially for next years draft was another he may have been keeping an eye on. Had a bit to do with this boy at club level. He has good speed, poise, good foot skills and creates a lot of rebound off halfback, although Wesley play him across wing and HFF as well. He’s the younger brother of Freon Nathan and will only get better

2022 AFL National Draft prospects: The next batch
I think Doerre is way out with Elijah Hewitt at 4 can’t see him going top 10. Broadbent is a big boy who will take some time and can’t see him going first round. Busslinger is a 197 CHB with really good game sense, good lateral movement and below his knees for a boy that size. Very good by foot

What They Are Saying at Glenferrie Oval
With Sam Mitchell as coach I see Hawks playing no other way than taking the game on

2022 AFL National Draft prospects: The next batch
Saw Jedd Busslinger yesterday live, he gets a lot of cheap stats but his disposal by foot for a player of his size is excellent. He is calm ,makes good decisions with ball in hand and has a strong pair of hands. East Perth colts are a big side who play a contested brand of footy, but they lack leg speed and spread, which I think doesn’t compliment his footy smarts, disposal efficiency and penetrating kick. Saw Jackson Broadbent live a few weeks ago and he is a big lump of a lad. Hard to judge how he will go at AFL level as he doesn’t have great mobility. He’s very strong and imposing but will take a fair bit of time to develop.

POSTGAME: Rd 06 vs Richmond
I don’t care once we make the last game of the season and our season doesn’t end like there’s did in 2008
-
GAMEDAY: Rd 03 vs Essendon
In the words of Al Davis, Just win Baby Build through the season and get wins that’s all that matters to me currently. It’s all about setting yourself up like last year to enable you to have heavy training loads in late July/August then time everything right like last September

Melbourne Kangaroos???
Not sure about signed and sealed, however I do recall it being shown on television some time during the 80s the potential jumper which was a North jumper with our red yoke, blue shorts and red sox

Today’s Drafts - The Third Crack
Not sure Sprigg has stopped growing and could be wrong but think he’ll be around the 200+ range now. Watched him playing for Wesley College, shot up a fair bit in the last 12/18 months. Was the dominant ruckman in PSA this season, with good skills for a big man. Has nice soft hands at the tap and a nice bit of mongrel. Having said all that I believe he may be being highly sought after the WACA and cricket Australia as a fast bowler
