  1. Best drainage, it’s built on sand, not much better drainage. No matter how heavy the rain gets at Optus it drains fairly quickly
  2. I posted this on another thread Been a long time since I posted, work, coaching and kids sport sees very little downtime currently. I couldn’t make Sundays game at Optus as my youngest was playing community football, but I was at my oldest boys school footy on Saturday Wesley vs Trinity and Tim Lamb was also in attendance. Not a lot on show for Trinity, but I expect Wesleys captain Rueban Ginbey to move up the draft boards this year, medium defender around the 192 mark who’s already debuted for East Perth senior side. Not really big enough for a KPD, but really good third tall, hard at it, nice left foot and good intercept mark. Aidan O’Driscoll potentially for next years draft was another he may have been keeping an eye on. Had a bit to do with this boy at club level. He has good speed, poise, good foot skills and creates a lot of rebound off halfback, although Wesley play him across wing and HFF as well. He’s the younger brother of Freon Nathan and will only get better
  3. I think Doerre is way out with Elijah Hewitt at 4 can’t see him going top 10. Broadbent is a big boy who will take some time and can’t see him going first round. Busslinger is a 197 CHB with really good game sense, good lateral movement and below his knees for a boy that size. Very good by foot
  4. With Sam Mitchell as coach I see Hawks playing no other way than taking the game on
  5. Saw Jedd Busslinger yesterday live, he gets a lot of cheap stats but his disposal by foot for a player of his size is excellent. He is calm ,makes good decisions with ball in hand and has a strong pair of hands. East Perth colts are a big side who play a contested brand of footy, but they lack leg speed and spread, which I think doesn’t compliment his footy smarts, disposal efficiency and penetrating kick. Saw Jackson Broadbent live a few weeks ago and he is a big lump of a lad. Hard to judge how he will go at AFL level as he doesn’t have great mobility. He’s very strong and imposing but will take a fair bit of time to develop.
  6. 6. Oliver 5. Gawn 4. Petty 3. Langdon 2. Brayshaw 1. Spargo
  7. I don’t care once we make the last game of the season and our season doesn’t end like there’s did in 2008
  8. In the words of Al Davis, Just win Baby Build through the season and get wins that’s all that matters to me currently. It’s all about setting yourself up like last year to enable you to have heavy training loads in late July/August then time everything right like last September
  9. Not sure about signed and sealed, however I do recall it being shown on television some time during the 80s the potential jumper which was a North jumper with our red yoke, blue shorts and red sox
  10. Sorry Roger, outside of PSA and state games, my WAFL Colts viewing over the last 18 months wasn’t great.
  11. Warner, Woewodin, Motlop all SOR boys and all private schools.
  12. Jed Hagan definitely one to watch, his desire to work himself into the ground with repeat efforts is like nothing I have seen since Ben Cousins. Just accumulates and racks up possessions due to pure workrate
  13. Not sure Sprigg has stopped growing and could be wrong but think he’ll be around the 200+ range now. Watched him playing for Wesley College, shot up a fair bit in the last 12/18 months. Was the dominant ruckman in PSA this season, with good skills for a big man. Has nice soft hands at the tap and a nice bit of mongrel. Having said all that I believe he may be being highly sought after the WACA and cricket Australia as a fast bowler
  14. and Tigers have 3 picks coming in the next 9, they could replenish very nicely
  15. My youngest played against JVR's younger brother this year and he was an absolute joy to watch playing. Smooth mover, penetrating kick. JVR himself as I said previously is an excellent backman and IMO has shown enough to think he has a very high ceiling as a forward
  16. Nobody who actually seen him play was excited in anyway about Kobe. I doubt without the lineage he’d even be playing WAFL Colts. As you acknowledge 2 very different players and I dare say with the WAF Colts, PSA, State games and combine testing Taj has put together over the last 18/20 months a club would have picked him.
  17. I like him as a defender because he has great footy IQ and good foot skills for a big player. He will be a very good defender. However I also think his ceiling could be extremely high as a forward, where he is still raw but the talent is there and he has the workrate
  18. Yes especially with Cerra having moved on. Personally I think the difference is they are still looking for that key forward which is why they are leaning towards Amiss. Erasmus impacts the scoreboard more than Johnson or IMO that is why the phantom drafts are compiled that way. Alternatively do they take both Erasmus and Johnson with those picks and use pick 20 to take a tall in Van Rooyen or Williams. Although if he’s available with our first pick can’t see us not taking Can Rooyen
  19. Can’t see Freo not taking Erasmus or Amiss with their first pick
  20. Swans couldn’t afford to keep Mumford because of Buddy’s wage
  21. Good day for Pennant, backed the winner and had 2, 3, 4 & 24 in a box trifecta. 2021 has been very kind
  22. But they both had significant impact on the outcome of games for their respective sides and one a hell of a lot cheaper than the other
  23. Maybe give him #2 so he can set his own path, but having seen him play he’s got the work rate and desire of his father, which Chunk also displayed
