  1. I don’t think much of Smithy skill wise, pace and athleticism are his strengths
  2. He will be but I wouldn’t be taking him with that pick
  3. List management is sorted in advance not the year of a players departure. They will be planning for what they do if Kossie commits or not, like they would have for Dogga. Same goes with our entire list and getting 2023 out of both Pig and Melk May be something they didn’t expect
  4. He actually fits a big need IMO than Jefferson, quicker ball movement off half back was an issue last season
  5. I’d be really happy to get either Allen or Hewitt
  6. Agree with this, JT has a proven record and I think Jefferson is the safe pick for the Phantom draft selections as we need a key forward, but JT and his team will be looking beyond that. For mine Pick 13 is best available because the talk of next years super draft is based on the depth of key talls. I like the idea of taking a Hewett, Allan or George with 13 and based on the highlights reels if one of Lemmey or Foster is there at 37 then we take them, although I do like Gilbey if he lasts that long
  7. Blake Acres and Griffin Logie both left Freo during trade period heading to Carlton and North. Both WA boys
  8. Reckon it’s Sheezal, but would need one of Norths picks. We have been keen on Ginbey but not sure that was as a top 5, think that’s when we thought West Coast may have taken Hewett and Busslinger
  9. I don’t know of anything and don’t think any AFL side falls for such character flaw rumours in order for local sides to have a player fall back. The Jack Darling claims are a myth, he dropped back because he was poor in his draft year and struggled to deal with more experienced opponents.
  10. Also played in Brissy colours for Scotch College, Suns colours for community club Caversham and Tigers colours for WA, either way wouldn’t mind seeing him in the red and blue
  11. Daniel Curtin will go first round West Coast loaded up on picks next to years to build, versatile tall who can play either end, I hope we are keeping tabs on him. Hale and Claremont boy who will know JVR well
  12. I’d like to see us get some run with our pick, or another mid who impacts the scoreboard. I like Holland, Allan, Hewett for this reason. I think the 2 first rounders next year is where we target the key forward
  13. Whilst we aren’t a juggernaut like Pies, Tigers, Bombers, Bluesand Hawks in terms of numbers, have to say getting to play key blockbusters twice a year at the G in ANZAC Eve and WB/KB would be attractive to me as a player
  14. Ssshhhh! That logic doesn’t fit the Hyperbole narrative, we’ve lost Farmer, Hogan and Jackson in the last 20 years
  15. Goody doesn’t make those calls, it’s all up the the S & C staff
  16. Ben Brown 2021, managed perfectly
  17. West Coast took Jack Williams as Kennedy’s long term replacement, so can’t see them or us taking Jefferson. On another note and in keeping with our forwards. I had to drop into the Claremont football Club today, JVR was in the gym doing some conditioning, they started introducing him to me. I said mate lifelong Demon, you don’t need to tell me who this bloke is. Shook his hand and wished him luck for the season ahead.
  18. Yeah absolutely I mean Jetta, Rivers, Woey, Alan Johnson, Darren Bennett, Seecamp, Nicholson, Armstrong and numerous others all wanted to leave. Might as well trade out JVR asap
  19. Coaches must have been in on it as well, considering he shared the AFL coaches award with Clarrie. Lets not try and invent something which isn’t there. If there’s anything in this it will relate to spot betting after the event
  20. Happy to take Hollands, Hewett, Phillipou or Allan with our pick. I reckon at least one of them will be there
  21. A bit of a domino effect from the midfield getting beaten at the clearances and lack of pressure up the ground. Hibbo has been a fantastic pick up and servant for the club and Melk, whilst not a Hibbos level has still been a good pick up
  22. As a father of two boys born in 2006 and 2007, I’m not surprised the potential draftee’s don’t follow the Dees, their footy interest would have started between 2009 and 2017. We couldn’t attract much support back then
  23. Not sure Nascent, I only seen him play PSA footy and on both occasions he played as a loose rebound defender. He was pretty impressive and it’s what he’s good at so he’s never been required to when I watched. He tackled well, was strong in contests and reads the play so I think he would be able to play it with some coaching but his asset with intercept marking and his kicking is why he will be drafted
  24. Yes, he can play andI mean seriously play. Game sense is good, awareness is above the norm and his potential is unlimited so it’s a big yes from me and has no off field issues I’m aware of so it’s a big yes from me
