Players to target at the end of the year

But you said we had the worst midfield in the AFL, I believe Meth Coast have the worst midfield in the league you say we only run 5 deep in quality not many sides barring the absolute guns of the competition go beyond 5 deep. So if you make a statement back it up I will miss some here but off the top of my head the top liners in clubs midfields are Hawks - Lewis, Mitchell, Sewell, Hodge, Burgoyne, Hill, Smith Port - Boak, Polec, Wines, Grey, Ebert, Hartlett Swans - Hanneberry, Kennedy, Jack, Bird, Parker, Mcglynn,Mcveigh, Freo - Fyfe, Barlow, Mundy, Hill Pies - Pendelbery, Swan, Beams, Sidebottom Cats - Selwood, Kelly, Bartel, Stevie J, Stokes Roos - Harvey, Wells, Dal Santo, Zieball, Cunnington Suns - Ablett, Prestia, O'Meara, Bennell Crows - Thompson, Sloane, Dangerfield, Crouch Bombers - Goddard, Watson, Heppell, Zaharakis Meth Coast - Priddis Rosa Blues - Gibbs, Murphy, Judd Tigers - Cotchin, Martin (tank is a worry), Deledio Dogs - Boyd, Mcrae, Libba, Bontempelli, Dalhaus, Griffin Lions - Redden, Rockliff, Rich GWS - Treleoar, Shiel, Whitfield Saints - Stephen, Hayes, -

Yes Daniel looked good but he is only giving away 5-10kg to the opposition at U/18level at AFL level being 67kg he will be giving away 15-25 kg to midfielders. He may not come into direct contact with the big bodied key position players but IMO he still has a lot of work to do in the gym to make it at the next level May get rookied -

But our second round pick will be before theirs, they will need to nominate him with their first Round pick to force our hand with our second round pick. Well that is my understanding of the rules, if they nominate we have to use our next pick after theirs -

I think Roos maintains his wanting to win every game and picks his best side to do so -

You know we go more than 5 deep, plenty of other rotate through our midfield Refresh my memory again how deep is Meth Coasts midfield Priddis - very good inside and clearance specialist Selwood - Tagger hard runner when fit in the words of Jack Dyer good ordinary footballer Shuey - outside runner has been found out can't break a tag Gaff - as above Masten - doesn't need a tag let him have it he will turn it over Wellingham - lucky to not be sent to the WAFL for the rest of the year, overpaid and been found out in a weaker midfield Rosa - good hard runner who plays mostly on a wing Sheed - not up to it yet finding the lift in pace and intensity difficult, they are crying out for speed and should have kept their pick last year and taken Freeman, because Waterman is similar to Sheed but an upgrade Mark Hutchings - like many players very good at WAFL/VFL level but skills get found out at AFL level Mcginnity - honest as they come but very limited Prior to 2013 Teams went the hard tag on Kerr & Priddis who would feed the ball out to Shuey and Gaff/Embley and they were exciting on the break. Last season teams changed tact and tagged the outsiders hard who were a lot less effective without the space. They have yet to adjust and they have been found out as a very undersized midfield -
Match Preview and Team Selection - Round 16

They are going to come out very hard after the pasting they copped from Lyon last week despite the win, I think we look tired but still want to see how we measure up against them, they play the way we are heading and will be a good yard stick of how hard our boys have to work for the full four quarters, especially when you don't have the ball. -

Going to throw it out there a second time, he has as much experience as Ling and is still playing if they win a flag this year great way to sign off and do a 2 year apprenticeship. Coaches on field and one of the smartest footballers I've ever seen Hodge But having said that don't rule out Rawlings -

Didn't know much about Petracca until I saw him live against WA - loved everything I saw about him outshone Brayshaw, Cavka and Ahern were also good. If I was picking mids Petracca, Brayshaw would be my choices Connor Blakley from WA'S stocks are rising with his form for Swan Districts Colts and standing up in a side that has been towelled up on several occasion through the champs. Hardisty is a terrier, good in close and very clean hands. Clem Smith is doing well off field, can be undisciplined on field but love players who are nasty and love to hurt opponents (legally) and make them earn it -

Meth Coast's midfield is overated and very undersized, a lot left to Priddis. -

Then you should know AFL is fairly big over here, the only issues is you get wall to wall shyte about Meth Coast -
Nik Nat has amazing athletic ability with a limited tank He has absolutley 0 positional sense and footy smarts Watts uses the ball well and is a good decision maker 9 times out of 10. Agree with you that he needs continual physical development but IMO he has come on a hell of a lot this season and I believe the penny has dropped

FMD you have over 2000 posts and you're amazed with the negativity on Demonland! -
No interaction between Dockers players and Peel Lyon stopped the Dockers players training 1 night a week with Peel due to concerns of the travel from Perth/Freo to Mandurah possibly causing injury No assisting development in the club and overlooking good WAFL players over Dockers rookies and draftees (this is to be expected and also happening at East Perth) The emergencies being held over to the last minute or withdrawn late to suit Freo, 2 emergencies on the weekend did not turn up till just after quarter time which left Peel with only 2 on the bench for the first quarter. Peel played Subi about 2 km from Patersons and the decision that Bradley & Sheridan needed a run so they had to do without for a quarter and ten minutes. I understand it's all about the AFL club but doesn't bode well for harmony with the alignment

Not this week needs to stay tight on Ballantyne
-
Dockers players get instructed by Dockers coaches then back to the main huddle. Massive divide between Peel & Freo. Eventually they will become a stand alone Dockers side

I think he'll be dropped for Morabito on yesterdays showing. Lyon was ropeable at the end of the game despite taking the four points. He let them have it and they were poor for all but a quarter and 10 minutes. They wont start asleep 2 weeks in a row If Roos thinks Blease has learnt to work both ways he comes in for some line breaking run, if he has learnt you don't want him coming in against Freo. Freo's big mids of Barlow, Fyfe & Mundy are a hard ask so think Michie may come in. Salem to me looks tired so JKH back in. Mckenzie for me better tagger than Nicho. The Dockers are light on for KPD'S and Kepler Bradley played at Full Back and CHB for Peel in the WAFL yesterday so think he may come in to support Dawson. As for match ups next week who gets the job on Hill he was sublime yesterday. Ins Michie, Mckenzie & JKH Outs Nicho, Terlich & Salem Tappy and Blease come into consideration if Roos wants to go smaller and leave Gawn out

He has knocked back a contract extension for 1 year, he is doing very well at WAFL level and wants to play regular footy at AFL level. If he doesn't get a game by seasons end he may well opt out -
