  1. We lost by 7 points in the end. Laurie playing nearly 3 full quarters had 1 kick, 4 handballs, 1 clanger and 2 tackles. There were so many little things that could have happened for us to win that game and our path could have been very different. This isnt me bagging Laurie. It was the selection decision. Laurie had only played a few games that year and had no consistency. All spilt milk in the end. 100% agree on the Carlton game. Super happy we got Henderson. He looks a similar player to Chandler based on highlights. Hoping he gets a crack early.
  2. I loved Harmes. He wasn't a Rolls Royce but was best 22 for us and will always be a premiership hero. Who could forget that kick to Fritta in the third quarter to start the greatest 20mins of football a demon fan has ever seen? I don't have any inside info on what happened between him and the club in 2023, but I can't help but think we would have won the semi final against Collingwood if we had an in form Harmes as the substitute instead of Laurie to replace Brayshaw. Was he so checked out of the club that he wasn't a better option at the time? Maybe he was had injuries the club wasn't telling us about... I guess I'm still bitter about 2023. It will be the one we look back on as the one that got away. I've watched a number of his games at the Western Bulldogs. It was a rough start to the year for him. He didn't seem to fit into the team and looked very much the 2023 version. He was in and out of the team a few times before getting on a roll in the second half of the year and playing some really good footy. He did a hammy early in a game against the pies but was a surprise inclusion for their elimination final against the Swans.
  3. Saying 'Please donโ€™t flat out make stuff up' is insulting someone's credibility.
  4. Bulldogs should have a look at him with Keath retired and Liam Jones has just done a severe hamstring.
  5. They picked up Serong with the pick we traded to North for Pickett too.
  6. This was quite difficult to work out so there are a few missing. There were a few players who I couldn't see from the footage and a few top ups that I don't recognise. Blue team: B: Bowie, Adams HB: Billings, TMac, Lindsay C : Sharp, Oliver, Langdon HF: Laurie Pickett, McAdams F: Fritsch, JVR, Melksham R: Gawn, Langford, Sestan White team: B: Howes, May, Lever HB: Windsor, Petty, Salem C : Brown, Viney, Woewodin HF: Mentha, F: Jefferson, Johnson, George R: Campbell, Rivers, Culley
  7. Sorry mate. Dazzle made those comments and I could only assume it was directed at you as you were the only one who commented on it. I thought it was a fair assumption to make. I had no intention of pointing a finger at you thinking you were in anyway in the wrong. Ill let dazzle reply to his own comments in the future.
  8. Slartibarfast earlier in this thread. You replied to the post.
  9. Love the person holding the camera quietly laughing at the end there in awe.
  10. We haven't replaced Brayshaw with anyone significant. We would have to have a fair chunk of his TPP still available?
  11. Seems like a straight forward trade but the Dee's thread hold all the power and are demanding the hyphen as steak knives in return.
  12. It's not hype. It's hope. It's the off season. It's a time for the optimism of the supporters to grow and look forward to the next season. The houses have all been trained down. Players have put on muscle in just a few weeks of holidays and all the problems with the game plan will magically be solved. At the moment, Johnson is a Schrรถdinger's cat. He could be the next Tony Lockett or he could be a complete bust. Let the optimists have their time.
  13. It's a blow that we drafted for needs in 2019 and 1. Jackson is gone. 2 Kozzie might be out the door. We obtained good compensation for Jackson but he would have made a big difference in 23. The compensation is just starting to get going.
  14. The only person I've ever heard of having the name Hassa. I'm assuming its similar to Hassan and arabic in origin?
  15. They take a picture and send it through the app to prove they have delivered it. Ive had a few occasions where Ive had to retrieve it from my neighbours door.
  16. Interesting commentary in that clip. The club has been very vocal advising that the reported culture problems are massively overblown. Reading that a 'young teammate declares he is determined to play a key role in changing the culture of the club' instantly made me click it to hear what was said. Windsor doesn't actually say that at all in the clip.
  17. Hind has always had a liking for players who play well in the big games. Lindsay is that player and he is ours.
  18. Kudos for updating this list. I come here regularly throughout the season. Surely Sharp got more than a one year contract when crossing over from Brisbane?
  19. BAMF replied to Dingo's topic in Melbourne Demons
We did pay for him. A late third round draft (albeit a cheap commodity), salary, a list spot and club resources. He isn't playing for free. I never thought he would be a pure ruck but it's easy to see why other supporters think he is when our own website has him listed as one. I have no idea why he had such a stinker of a season. His stats and history suggested that he could play at AFL level. I'm predicting he gets played on defence at Casey at some stage this year. Fingers crossed he is able to turn it around this year.
  20. I see. With Petty training with both forwards and back you place him on the bench. I don't know myself yet. I feel like Petty will have to battle TMac for that defensive position and Johnson up front. TMac won't be giving up that spot lightly. I'm thinking that Johnson could be ready to go up front and has more flexibility with ruck depth. I want to hear more about Johnson before making a call, but Petty might be spending time at Casey. Edit: on another note we both still have Laurie in the centre. I'm not convinced this is good for his development but we still don't have many options at the inside mid position with so many inside players in the senior team
  21. It's been reported by track watchers that he has done some drills with the defenders
  22. Distorted. He had come straight from Revs.
  23. Defeated the Balrog and comes back leveled up as Petracca the white.
