Weid did a lap of the ground to give the crowd high fives. I yelled out "stay with us Weid!" When he got to me he jumped and went "Whoo!" and gave me the biggest high five. No idea if there was anything to read into it or not. But he was a happy man for the team. Jetta also got a good reception, although he was more subdued than weid.

I was at the ground. At half time I was alright, and thought we would be ok. The Johannison goal sucked the life out of the crowd around me and it really felt like the game was about to get away from us. The next few minutes were dire and even when Fritsch got his first of the third term you felt like we were just hanging on. From there we broke them. It was great to watch. Well done boys. Oh boy. I'm here. The johanison goal took the wind out of the Demons in the crowd. The fritsch goals were completely against the flow. Atmosphere was amazing post those two goals. Petracca and Sparrow goals were incredible.

Once the full changes occur next year there will be no point the club putting any time or development into these kids at all. It really is short sighted by the afl. Rather than change it to force clubs to invest as intended they have done the opposite. NGA kids will now be such low percentage picks that they simply won't be worth talking about

Exactly. However the question I would really like answered is how much time and resources we have put into this already. I have a feeling that it isn't much. It's frustrating that we miss out on Mac due to the rule change, however the JUH situation should never have occurred. If they applied the new rule after we got Mac I most likely wouldn't care.

Cal has a road to the draft podcast that I listened to awhile ago which had the Freo recruiter as a guest. He alluded that Mac had shot up into top 10 calculations.

He has been great. Such a turnaround from 2019 where he had the majority of us tearing our hair out. I thought his game against West Coast was his best, but this was a fantastic game and is elevated due to the opposition and the occasion (Carlton and Gold Coast games were great too). . I think he still has the potential to overthink his decisions on occasion when he has time to think but he also has been nailing the majority instead of blazing away into forward 50 like he used to. There are still a few posters who view him as a bit of a whipping boy. They need to understand that form is temporary and players can change. You don't have to keep the same opinion that you did 3 years ago.

Hoping the Swans can come back. Would prefer GWS get eliminated
