  1. Personally, I would rather see State of Origin back on the calendar as opposed to this load of w*nk. Granted, the risk of injury is always going to be an issue but to see the cream of the competition from their respective states hit the park for 1 - 2 games per year is so much more appealing.. JT - Sth Aus? TS - Big V? Hmmm.. Dilemma
  2. Can understand and appreciate your sentiments in regards to his tenure at the Crows GV, but in today's day and age footy is not the what it used to be back in the 50's. Sorry if you got the wrong perception of my values based on my avatar. If I was to base an opinion on yours it would be interesting.
  3. MFC pay Craigs salary now. He's employed to bring success to the club by all means necessary. Who gives a toss about his years at the crows. Thinking that he actually would care in that manner is the epitome of pure fantasy.
  4. 2009 number 1 draft pick by a [censored] mile.
  5. Trengove named as Captain Demons to finish 5th Mark Neeld AA Coach in first year Jack Watts wins Bluey Jurrah wins Coleman GWS player heavily concussed by JT tackle 45000 Die Hard Demon members I win Powerball
  6. Fair play, but the Captain is only asked to help execute the coaches game plan on the paddock. There's every possibility that Brad could thrive under a new coach and game plan. Saying that, I think he should not lead the team next year as Captain.
  7. Posted by Kick it LONG on 13 September 2011 - 06:58 PM in Melbourne Demons If Dimmer doesn't get the Toigers up next year and Malthouse does in fact take a years hiatus, there's your answer. 2013 will see him at Richmond. He's said it still feels like home when he goes back to Tigerland.
  8. I don't buy into it either DWA. From all reports it sounds like Lyon pumped his tyres up pretty tight over a chat and the rest is history. Whether he can add value to the Dockers remains to be seen.
  9. Sumich has always been a Freo lad and stated on local television tonight that he'd always had ambitions of returning. He has huge family over here in fruit n veg caper. Wouldn't be surprised if that's the primary reason he goes in half hearted or not at all for senior gigs outside of WA. Destined to be a career assistant.
  10. B Grader at best. No way.
  11. Oh really?? Would love to see the figures lined up against GWS costs and forecasted benefits over a ten year period. GWS is a big risk that I have a firm belief will come back to bite the AFL in the pants. Anyway, what was this thread about? The draft, that's right.
  12. I can understand where you're coming from here Nasher and can appreciate both sides to the argument. Let's remember though that WA was an Aussie Rules mad state well before the inception of the Eagles a mere 25 years ago and look how wealthy and successful they are. Many of the VFL club supporters converted to following the new WA based teams (a no-brainer considering the distance to the 'G' to come and watch a game). Rather than diluting the supporter base, think of it as developing greater rivalries. And I'm with you, my kids are going to be Demons.
  13. Stupid? Would it be more stupid to invest in Tasmania where there's actually a population of Aussie Rules supporters? Right idea, wrong state.
  14. And with any luck NSW will be back to having one AFL team.
  15. It must be on the game-day magnet board. That explains the confusion.
  16. They're all men with variable experience that have been assembled by a strict process that has been put together in order to deliver a flag. I for one have the utmost faith in the group and that interdependency will be critical to the success of the MFC. Who gives a shyte about organograms anyway. Let them get on with it.

    Neil Craig

I believe he will be hugely respected for his principles and values outlined in that article. We can only hope that these are transferred throughout the club and it spills out on the field and at every contest.
  18. Rabid? I wonder how many weeks you get for running around and biting the opposition nowadays.?
  19. I thought the buck was meant to stop with the head coach, which it ultimately did. Let's hope under Neelds stewardship Brown gets the scoreboard ticking.
  20. Probably a good thing he didn't become the head coach then.
  21. Wow, another "It is understood" article from the Hack. I would love to see Goddard running around in red socks and I'm pretty certain that many of the Saints players would see that the end is nigh.. We could have the upper hand in 12 months time and be an attractive proposition for BJ and others of his ilk.
  22. Wishful thinking. Malthouse has the teams best interests ahead of Buckley and for that reason he will want to see the Filth challenge again.
  23. Agree. In fact I think we would have seen a closer result if the Hawks had have played. Pies were so lucky to get over the line in the prelim.
