  1. Unfortunately we know the outcome of 'some' sling tackles. I'll settle for a legitimate bone-jarring-crunch that dishes out a red vest early in the game.
  2. Round 10 GWS vs Cats at Skilled. There is hope 186 can be archived.
  3. Don't get me wrong, I appreciate you're sentiment, just thought it was a bit over the top and even more-so now considering you'd not read the article. Thanks for the advice too. A shrink on Demonland.
  4. I was at that game but I missed the incident. The sun was in my eyes. I really hope Flash turns it around. He certainly wasn't on his Pat Malone this season. I see his improvement coming from the over-arching set of variables that have taken place since the close of the season. New coaches, new team-mates, new fitness regime etc = Fresh and firing AD.
  5. "The AFL said the clash has not been deliberately contrived, having already been set in the fixture before the Clark trade." Err.. Yeah, right.
  6. I donned mine at the Subi hotel after we got smashed by Wet Coke back in April. They were a hit with Eagles supporters too. Had a few too many that night. 41,378 Gen' Dee's.
  7. 286 has a nice ring to it. Might have to wait for whan they play the Cats for that though and I'm sure it won't be fixtured at Kardinia Park.
  8. The Meat might be called back to be the pre-match entertainment for this classic.
  9. Just had a quick geeze at the freofanatics site and they are not happy. This from one poster after EQ tweeted that the Dorkers had not made any friends during trade week. "Emma Quayle is an egg, Clarke is an egg and the Melbourne footy club are scrambled eggs. Would have been happy to get him but not on his inflated salary and not with our priority picks. Im glad its over... Im also glad conoly and shwab are stuffing up Melbournes future and not ours." Really looking forward to Mitch kicking a bag against these clowns next year.
  10. No doubt he's a fair lump of a lad but I can't help but think he needs to put on another 6 - 8 kilo's of muscle to be a real key forward, to have the mass which oppostion backmen find it difficult to move in a contest. Am I on my own here?
  11. The greatest injustice was carried out long before he even pulled on a Melbourne geurnsey. It was the instant that he was chosen ahead of Jack Trengove - the real 2009 No. 1 draft pick. I will boo him for his whole career, and then some. Edit: post 31.... the irony.
  12. It could be that Neeld wants a reasonable group to pick emergencies from. I still think we can use his grunt in the clinches, with a solid pre season and regained confidence he could turn it around. However, most of the team is in that boat...
  13. Olarenshaw was surprised as to who it was...? Given the circumstances, MFC would fit that description very, very well. (Edit: As a smokescreen to detract from Clark) I was against it a few months ago but I'll admit now to be swaying.
  14. Probaly easiest to follow this link to a great write up. The clip of him coughing up blood in the prelim the week beofre is embedded in this page http://www.nbamate.c...dge-is-the-man/ (spewing, it's been removed) The point i was trying to make is that it is not always the captain who has the most influence over a game. Hodge in my opinion is by far the best Captain going around and if one of our boys can emulate him we'd be well on the way to a flag.
  15. Very much so. Wanting to head home to Perth may just be part of a bigger charade.
  16. No reason he can't be a good stoppage player IMO. Big body but maybe down on core strength that allows these guys to burst out and pour on the speed for the first 10 - 20 meters. Condtion him for that and rotate him with Beamer.
  17. Damn! I thought I was the first to use it. Anyway, I'm pretty sure it was amicable and with the intentions of getting the best from both parties. I'm sure he'll be playing a significant mentoring role to the new Captain next year.
  18. Cats have been drafting very well during this period of dominance. The culture at the club is spoken of in elite terms. Younger players are being groomed in this successful environment. I would be very surprised if the Cats hit the bottom six within the next decade.
  19. If he or any other person is prepared to hold the club to ransom over such an issue, it shows very poor leadership qualities indeed.
  20. FD would even have enough for emergencies.
  21. Looking back over Brads career at our club, the majority of his injuries have resulted from collisions which in-turn have resulted from keeping his eye on the footy. That said, I have no fear in giving him a two year contract because I think he has the body to absorb another two years of hard AFL footy. If it is this 1 year only rubbish that is the sticking point in re-signing Brad then I will be very disappointed. I've said before that he should not be Captain next year but by gee, I want him out there kicking goals. Get it sorted out now please fella's.
