  1. Agree wholeheartedly, Ron. The remaining paragraphs of the post you took that sentence from explained that. I was purely trying to reason that we have come out of this the best we could have and people need to move on and stop dwelling on the past. We ended up keeeping the real 2009 No.1 pick in my view.
  2. Sliding doors. If Trengove was chosen ahead of Scully that year (according to Bailey it was pretty much a toss of the coin), we could be in the situation where GWS targeted JT, got him, and we were left with Scully. When I view it from that perspective, I have no regrets about anything. Priority picks could well be a thing of the past in years to come. We bascially received 2 No. 1 draft picks. The good one stayed with us, the evil one has left and in the process provided us with extra money, 2 x first round picks, and potentially a gun KPF in Clark. All this bodes a far sight better than keeping that other dipstick. The bridge has been built and many of us are getting over it.
  3. Purchased and played too much already. Works great on the iPad. Nice one.
  4. Twenty years of crawlin' was bottled up inside him. He wasn't holdin' nothin' back; he let 'em have it all. When tommy left the barroom not a Gatlin boy was standin'. He said, this ones for Becky, as he watched the last one fall. And I heard him say, "I promised you, dad, not to do the things you've done. I walk away from trouble when I can. Now please don't think I'm weak, I didn't turn the other cheek, And papa, I sure hope you understand: Sometimes you gotta fight when you're a man". Evr'yone considered him the coward of the county.
  5. It will be when several of the boys "have a break-out game".
  6. Is Cale day-dreaming.... Is that what you're implying? Do I get a prize?
  7. Eddie Hazel from Funkadelic. 10 minutes of Maggot Brain bliss. Edit: I have feeling WYL would know who Eddie is.
  8. We can all breathe a sigh of relief. http://www.melbournefc.com.au/news/newsarticle/tabid/7415/newsid/125693/default.aspx
  9. It's an oldie but a goodie, Bingers. Removed one so you can rest easy..
  10. Probably GWS supporters. It might take them a while to figure out who he plays for.
  11. Would it be safe to assume that Leading Teams is no longer? Surely Neeld would not believe in it after his time at the Filth.
  12. No. It's not that simple and it's not a negative attitude. I'm well over it too but I will be disappointed if the boys don't show a real disdain toward him next year. Neeld is a bloke who's played and coached at the highest level and knows that scores need to be settled one way or another. If the boys went out there with the intent of NOT showing how they, the club and the vast majority of supporters feel, then that would be like a dagger in the heart.
  13. He's got a bung knee and no ticker. We've done well to be rid of him, just you wait and see. We have to stop dealing in hypotheticals, draft as best we can and get the footy club pumping.
  14. I mean honestly, do we have anywhere near enough quality cattle to challenge? When do you seriously consider us to be giving it a shot? Your personal opinion of the $cully fiasco and will there be instructions to [censored] him over when we play GWS?
  15. The Culture Club. Boy George will be number 1 ticket holder. What's that song.... Karma Chameleon something..?
  16. Let's hope he's real pi%%ed and spills the beans on this other 'saga'.
  17. I am looking forward to seeing how resilient this family is to the public vitriol being directed at them. It's just not MFC supporters venting. All this negativity just could bring about a premature end to the season for him. Stay tuned...
  18. Could be that A&S costs such as flights, accommodation, pies, chips etc had to be budgeted for under his salary.
  19. It's not that bad up at Darwin that time of year weather wise. If anything, it might mean the difference between a 15 goal victory compared to a 20. But yes, there's always a catch 22...
  20. If he does play against us, I just hope the players don't give him anything remotely close to the affection Geelong players showed Ablett this year. That is absolutley not warranted in my eyes.
  21. I thought about this possibility when he first defected. I considered then how I felt (very pi$$ed off) and how I would feel every year thereafter. His depature and the way it transpired will have less and less significance for me personally, every year that passes by. When we start winning consistantly and hopefully getting premiership success, the team should have a fair portion of the ten best footballers in the country anyway and we'll not need to recruit that type of player.
