Could not have said it better. Rivers has very little cred within the league and to make him Captain would be laughable. Time to be bold and develop the leadership within the club with the new brigade. JT is the man.

Hear, hear. I've never really rated Harvey as a coach but wow, this is low by Freo FC. The fact that this has been in the planning for quite some time to me points to a board that cannot be trusted. Will be interesting to see how big the fall-out actually becomes. I bet Harvey would like a scalp or two before moving on from this.

I think Junior might get a run in a few games and I also think that this is hardly an effort for more publictity. My bet is that the likes of Junior will be utilised in a very specific mentoring role for 'what's his name', should they appoint him and another young fella Co-Captains. I'm sure we all agree that he's not going to be racking up 20+ possession games. I wonder what relationship they had at MFC and furthermore to what extent does Jr's signing have to do with $cully.
