Dennis Pagan would be my choice. I think he's got some pretty similar credentials to Roos and given the Lions require what the MFC have received, they should seriously consider him.

Agree with you wholeheartedly. Wouldve helped unlock the creative flair of the likes of Petracca and been immensely positive with teaching Hogan how to operate as a key forward because clearly nobody else at the club has any fuggen idea.

This whole thread is proof that the Rising Star award just heaps a shed-load more pressure on a second year player. If we don't keep Hogan then we will watch him become one of the games best forwards in another clubs colours.

Illness aside, I personally still have a question mark beside his name. I can't really put my finger on it but there's something lacking in the way he plays the game. Maybe the HBF role isn't for him and time on ball might aid his development. Seems to be a lot of praise for a bloke who has neat skills but not much of a body of evidence to suggest he'll be an integral cog in next years machine.

Geelong are average and will be overwhelmed by the job to get a top 4 berth. It'll be a tight low scoring game that we'll win by 8 points!!

I don't like his chances of staying at the club and taking up a spot on the list. Hulett wasn't mentioned in that article and he's had a fair year in the Magoo's. I wouldn't mind betting the Lions are in the hunt for a seasoned forward.
