I think it's uncalled for. They secured Schache at pick 2 last year and Hipwood at 14 and they'll take pick 2 to the trade/draft table this year. Why don't the AFL expect the Lions to develop these high picks like they did with us?

I wouldn't be surprised if it was purely a cost saving decision by the club. The development program is in place, Macca is running it (who came into the role after Allisons employment) and the club probably feels we have adequate resources to carry out the program moving forward. Maybe let's not look for a conspiracy for a change.
