So you're saying that two years is too long? There' so many examples in of late draft picks taking a couple of years to find their feet at AFL level. Dane Swan is a classic and probably a suitable comparison to ANB. ANB is not deadwood.

The guy was drafted in the 40's and has shown glimpses of AFL level footy. If the club starts churning through draftees at a rate of 2 years then you're out, I'd be pretty concerned.

Did you get to a lot of Casey games? Or are you basing it off a couple of AFL showings?

Give ANB another pre season and see if he comes on. I don't think it's wise to get rid of a 2 year player who has consistently dominated VFL games. Need to bear in mind that it's players like ANB that place the most pressure on the firsts to perform week in, week out.

Honestly, I think it all goes to sh!t when our club song cuts in as the boys run through the banner. It's a classic chalk and cheese moment where a great guitar riff gets cut off by a wanky trumpet (btw, I love our song). There's lots of other songs we could use to run out to. When you consider Geelong were able to bring in; Dangerfield Zac Smith Rhys Stanley Scott Selwood and the photographer (the year before) as best 22 players, it makes it feel so much sweeter to see them getting done so convincingly. I'd be willing to bet that Geelong wouldn't have even made the eight this year without Dangerfield.
