  1. Lets be honest, if Hogan doesn't win or at least draws 1st, this whole award may as well be thrown out.
  2. If Brisbane or Carlton get a priority pick, I would be going to the AFL demanding a retrospective one. It is beyond a joke that the worse performing club of the last decade didn't get one, but goddamn Brisbane who managed to snaffle Dayne Beams last year, are going to get one. This competition is a farce!
  3. Scully got us Hogan. Please pay your respects to the greatest number 1 pick in the history of the AFL thanks!
  4. Injuries aside, Hogan should easily be able to kick 53+ next season, especially if our midfield stops with the terrible disposal!
  5. Needs to work on his kicking and he knows that (source: a family member)
  6. Chook in Perth has plenty of runs on the board. I believe him.
  7. He's a gun player and exactly what we need But if the club thinks he'll do more damage than good, I trust them We are a young group and the coaches are trying to instil professionalism. HB screams unprofessional.
  8. Hogan is amazing, but it's plain bias to say that Cripps is a dime a dozen. His numbers are better than Judd & Ablett in their respective seasons. We would be singing his praises if he played for us. The only reason why I think Hogan should win is because of the difficulty of his role. Being a young KPF in a poor team is much much harder than being a young midfielder in a struggling team. Carlton are terrible, but they still have Murphy and Simpson who would get harder tags each week. Hogan has played on all the premium defenders in the competition, and has managed to kick a goal on every one of them, save for the Carlton game. Regardless of who wins, both will go on to be excellent A grade players.
  9. I'd also hate to see what happened if Gawn had gone down with that hip that was bothering him. We desperately need Frost to grow that toe back ASAP, so we have a decent 2nd ruck option that isn't Dawes
  10. He is in the overall top 6 players He isn't a future star, he's a present star.
  11. I loved the Richmond win, and in the context of the season it was probably the most impressive win given their ladder finish. The young players for me were my highlight, because more than any individual win, the fact that we finally seem to have a group of really strong capable and some potential A graders to build around, is very exciting.
  12. I would puke if North win it. Luckily they won't. Dogs for me all the way, but again, not going to happen.
  13. My wish list in order: Dogs Adelaide Gap The others Large gap Hawthorn Eternity North mother[censored] Melbourne
  14. Another game where he was a total passenger. Even after he took that mark he turned it over. My feelings on him staying or going can be summed up in one word; meh.
  15. I struggled not to cry. It was awful. So glad he came back for a much deserved farewell.
  16. Most important records to break next year: 1. Winning 2 games in a row. Until we break this embarrassing record we will never go anywhere 2. Beating North Melbourne Because I hate their guts
  17. I think today we need 2 sets of votes Top 6 players overall 6. Viney 5. Vince 4. Jones 3. McDonald 2. Hogan 1. Salem Top 6 future awards 6.Stretch 5. Harmes 4. Brayshaw 3. O. Mac 2. White 1. JHK Really really impressed with Stretch. Has been good the last month but really took it to another level today. Loved him on the wing, and is a lot stronger than his frame suggests. Good kick, good speed, nice hands. A big fan. Definitely didn't think we'll see much of him this year, and have been pleasantly surprise. A nice F/S pick up!
  18. Nothing to lose by putting him up for trade. I trust that if we do trade him, it will be to benefit the team (or more importantly our midfield) significantly.
  19. And well done to Hogan and Brayshaw for their physical and mental resiliency to play nearly every game this season. They both had amazing debut seasons beyond our wildest expectations. I see Nathan Jones II in Brayshaw. P.S.- Howe very lucky to play every game. I'm fairly certain he was asleep in at least 10 of these games.
  20. And actually the noise from the crowd and the atmosphere was brilliant I was particularly fond of the deadly silence every time GWS kicked a goal, or the booing. It was a nice touch.
