After going to the G for nearly ten years my daughter aged 5 at the time came with me for the first time. All I wanted was enough goals from us so my daughter could wave the melbourne flag around. Well we demolished sydney all over the ground and it is the most fun I have had at the G. So the question is what the bloody hell has happened? Two years on we are woeful. That game in 2010 there was run and carry and we had depth in our young list and it looked like our potential was finally coming to the surface. It seems now we have not only stopped dead but completely gone backwards. Leaving the G in 2010 I thought to myself " By 2012 we will be top 6" Now it seems that bottom 4 is a shoe in. Can someone please explain what has happened since then. I know what is happening now but what has made us go backwards so bad?

Nah mate it's not a dumb idea. I love the idea, not for the money the club would reveice but for all the crap and bad news this club has received from all the media in the last month it would be great if a media outlet could pick this up and we the Joe blow supporters could show everyone that we still give a toss about this club and we are not going anywhere. I replied to a topic a couple of weeks ago saying I thought the younger players had left our senior players out to dry with their very little development over the years. But yesterday made me think that I was wrong. Our senior players are showing are younger players an insipid brand of football and a mediocre performance can be accepted as the norm. We need to see our younger blokes step up a bit and form a rat pack that sees the likes of Beamer,Davey and Green down at Casey because are unit of younger players are just too good. If not the senior players will be picked every week whilst our younger players just cruise along and not take the heat for this crap! Sitting behind the goals yesterday was making me drink more and more beer. Jamar would throw his hand up for the footy with the Monster Luenberger right beside him and other brisbane players all waiting for the kick to Jamar. If Chippa looked to the other side of the ground he would have seen Watts and others one out and completely away from Luenberger who killed us. Agree, but this should extend to someone like blease aswell. How can a 24 year old magner come out of nowhere and show his heart and skills whilst someone like blease who has been in the elite system of the AFL with all the perks of coaches and support staff show such little effort and half assed contests? Pathetic. I truly believe some of our players are comfortable with treating footy as a job. They collect their cheque at the end of the week and if we win it's good and if we lose it's no drama.

I am very concerned about how the hell are we supposed to be compete against Richmond,Doggies,Saints,Bombers and North if we can't compete with Brisbane at the G Round 1? The same Old feeling I get when I leave the G is something that I am getting used to now and it Shits me up the wall.

JW just turned 21. Seriously 21! Jack was not born with the baulk of the incredible hulk so to expect JW to crash packs and physically destroy the opposition at the age of 21 is beyond dumb. He is not a midfielder who can walk in and see ball get ball as they say. He is playing what a lot of people have said is the hardest position to play in the AFL. To say he has shown nothing in any of his games really gets me going. I will say he hasn't blown a game away but to be honest being a forward in our team the last couple of years hasn't been easy on anyone (Brad Green) He has shown plenty in plenty of games for me. When we smashed freo last year JW set up that many goals for us. His game against richmond where I believe he kicked 3 and kicked a goal beating two tigers by himself gave me plenty to be happy with. Sure trade our number 1 draft pick who has shown plenty as of last saturday night and while your there you suit up since by your own accord you could show form if you played 30-40 games.

yeah membership gets you in for free. I'm a reserved seat member but I'm pretty sure the basic membership gets you into level 3 for free.

Is Blease a walk up starter? I thought he would have had a run for Casey on the weekend.

I thought Blease would have played for Casey to get an extra run. Does this mean he is more than likely a Round 1 starter?
