I would imagine that if say 4 clubs were looking for a coach and there was one outstanding applicant wouldn't the likes of Collingwood and Hawthorn pay the fine to get the best candidate? Was Malthouse still under contract at West Coast when he started chatting to Eddie about being the pies coach? This will never work out well for smaller clubs.

I agree, but with that comes the harsh fact that our senior players get no support from the younger players right now and it leads to the discussions of trades and de listing's that I have read on this thread.

Just watched the interview with Col Garland at the Melbourne website. He spoke so well about Jim and the future for the club. A credit to you Col.

Our senior players get hung out to dry because Bailey thought it would be a good idea to limit the amount of senior players we have due to the fact he and many of us would have thought our younger brigade would have improved far more then they have. Beamer and Jones are probably our 2 best midfielders which means against good teams we get smashed by their midfielders every time because those 2 are not A grade midfielders they bust their butts but they are not A grade which means they need help and are not getting it because so many of our younger players are still "Developing" as they say.

I think our seniors players have been hung out to dry by the likes of Gysberts, Blease, Morton, Bennell and Watts not coming on quick enough. How much better does luke ball look with Swan,Pendels and co around him? The younger blokes are the key to our success not just in the future but now as well.

So we come out against the pies and show a shiny new hard press and we smash them in the contested possession and win the game. This makes us happy and then we come out against the hawks and get smashed and look second rate whilst trialling other strategies and then we do the same against pitiful Port. Why wouldn't we continue to play the way we did against the pies in terms of strategy? Wouldn't it make sense to solidify the game plan we all think will win us games this year?

I know Mark Neeld is trialling different strategies but how about we trial winning. Last time I checked it's a pretty good strategy.

Yes drinks were consumed before the bet that's for sure. I still have some faith that blease will be ok we haven't seen the best of him. I have another slab on St.Kilda finishing lower then us with the same mate so I might be dead even at the end of the year.

Russian is an absolute gun at the tapouts and his marking around the ground is what made him an All Australian. His Goal kicking and kicking in general is pretty poor though you see him take a mark across the defensive 50 and he looks for the handball straight away and it slows us up and we lose all momentum. When he takes marks in the forward 50 It's the same problem. If he could fix his kicking he would be the envy of a lot of clubs.

I just wish there was some way we could show Liam that we all support him and our 100 percent behind him whilst he is going through all of this.

I have brainwashed the hell out of them. Sometimes it did include fudging the scores a little bit when I would get home from the G. A 6 year old and a 2 year old don't really understand rebuilding phases and a developing list.
