Asahi is a nice drop. Sam blease was my first pick in supercoach then Bate. I really hope The Dee's are back I even got my Mum a membership she has been a so so supporter of the bombers forever but she now loves the dee's and I think she is more pumped then me.

THe Ox has him gawn (yes it's a play on words)

I think your right but in my sober state i think my bets aren't that bad i think the saints are going to slide way down this year maybe Blease for the B&F is a bit rich but as you said the bet was made with the red and blue beer goggles firmly strapped on.

Hey boys and girls I have finally got out of my ice bath after forum footy (still a bit sore but will pull through) and im hanging for footy to start so I can stop telling people we are certain for the 8 this year and that sam blease is going to explode this year. After a few drinks on the weekend and then a few more i put $100 on with a mate that Melbourne will finish on top of st.kilda and another $100 on one S.Blease winning the B&F this year. If i had a couple more scotch's i probably would have put some dough on lucas cook winning the coleman so im lucky I stopped. I know this is a nothing thread that's why this thread is sponsored by the NAB cup because they are both irrelevant but I would love to know if any other demonlanders have been shooting their mouths off to their mates about our chances Cheers.

Just an off thought. What's with the new balance singlet and shorts but Nike Shoes?

I heard Nathan Brown mention after the strauss injury that he thought he was fully recovered and he went back to full training but he kept breaking down and he said he should have rested for longer. I hope the same doesn't happen to strauss.

So if that's the case why wasn't it announced at the time of tom leaving that phil had also signed up? Very dodgy. I can't wait to smash them next year.
-
So true I can't believe the difference between the two. The question is when did Phil scully agree to the job and when was it offered to him? I doubt the AFL gives a damn the draw is out soon and then something else will come up and it's all going to be let through to the keeper.
-
I dont think scully would want to come back and play second fiddle to Jack viney.

until jurrah can chase and tackle i cant see him on the wing. His foot skills suggest he could but he just seems to only show his best in the forward line but it may be possible. I think our biggest problem is the forward line. Too many times last year we would get the rebound out of our back 50 and we would have to stop our run because we simply had no one in our half of the ground. We would then have to kick or handball backwards to hold posession and then we would turn it over It made davey in particular look stupid if you were watching on tv but at the game I would scream for someone to stay in our forward half.

I'm bringing some slabs next year all i had were two very very warm beers in my footy bag at the end of game. I thought I pulled up ok until i couldn't lift my leg yesterday to put my foot on the clutch in my truck. That was an interesting drive. Forgot to thank whateverItTakes who saved my life a couple of times with the water she was B.O.G for sure.

cheers to everyone involved and thanks rollo for organising a day of the filth getting their ass handed to them.

I spent all day looking for boots and the only ones i could find in my size were a pair of canary yellow puma's. Perhaps the worst looking boots i have ever seen.

Round 1 - Melbourne v Brisbane MCG
cowboy_from_hell replied to Roger Mellie's topic in Melbourne Demons
I'm just happy I get to go to the footy round 1 and more then likely see a win. -
if we win games early the bandwagon will be built with some of the wood being donated from a certain persons very expensive desk and we will get 43,364 members.

This is a bit personal and I understand if the moderators delete/move this thread So I'll get to the point. About 15 years ago I would have been about 13 years old and I had a cat. He was a great cat and I loved him dearly. He loved being outside and one day he climbed a large tree and wouldn't come down. I tried to physically get him down but he wouldn't budge. I called the fire brigade and they told me if it isn't an emergency they couldn't do anything straight away but they did say they could pass my details on to someone who was a great negotiator and they could get my cat down. I didn't think it could be true but I rang the number and they answered and I was shocked when it was the Essendon Football Club. They said they were very confident they could get the deal done and their past record of deal making was the most respected in Australia. I was confident but this week my cat died of natural causes still in the bloody tree 15 years later! Essendon rang me and said they were shocked the deal couldn't done and they had done everything they could to make the deal happen. I and many others will never deal with this club ever again! They couldn't negotiate a drug deal in bali if they tried! Thanks for Nothing Essendon!

I never thought I would see the lions and bills ahead of my vikings. We got smashed yesterday and i think we are tanking for the QB in college right now I think his last name is luck and apparently he is better then cam newton.

I thought Bate might have been thrown up as a trade with picks for caddy but Marcus ashcroft said no other club has approached them so I agree what's the hold up? Let him play where he wants to and #39 is a decent deal I think.
-
If we are going to get him it better be quick. I think we will be tied up sorting out bate and warnock.

How we are now perceived as a club
cowboy_from_hell replied to beelzebub's topic in Melbourne Demons
This attitude we have gained over the off season needs to be maintained not just through the bad times but the good. I don't know much of what the administration do but I can only see their actions and all their actions in this off season show that Bull [censored] will not be tolerated from now on. I think we will be taken seriously from right about now. This can only be a good thing for our players. To know that everything is being put in place for them to win games they must be happy but they must know that the pressure to perform has risen as well.
