  1. 6 years seems a little excessive. Would have loved to have him at Melbourne.
  2. Hopefully now that he doesn't have to focus on contract negotiations, he can spend more time thinking about where to kick the ball. I think his output will lift next season. Overall, he is a good player to have for his flexibility. I think I'm happy with the outcome, as our compensation probably would have been small change anyway.
  3. Considering our needs at the moment and the deficiencies that still plague the midfield, Dom is one of our almost untouchable players. He will still be a gun - the guy is only 21.
  4. Please stop dee-lured. Wow, even autocorrect is in on the bad puns.
  5. Jacks is clearly one very positive and very mentally tough guy. There aren't many guys who have to put up with as much during their career and the way he has handled it has been fantastic. I cannot wait to see him back on the park, because I imagine the joy he'd be feeling at that time would be absolutely amazing.
  6. Thanks for the therapy guys. It's much needed and very much appreciated.
  7. Yes, I think so. Parker isn't going anywhere.
  8. Unless it's 'Juicy' Juice Newton.
  9. I'd probably rather keep Tyson if that were their offer.
  10. I suppose that is what I'm trying to get at. What is the point of his constant statements about it? Adelaide won't change tact or strategy just because of his whining.
  11. Exactly. Especially when people seem to pop up and create accounts for just the trade period, it's hard to take information seriously. But my mistake for not looking further into the rumour.
  12. Connors is such a [censored], imploring Adelaide to accept the compensation and let Dangerfield go. Just let the clubs handle it.
  13. Reading from the top of the thread downward, it is funny how things snowball. 'Middymalt' probably just pulled this out of his arse and now people are mentioning possible trade scenarios... Tyson has only been at the club for a couple of years, is a very good player (had an underrated season to an extent, I think) and is contracted. Seriously, I think some of the discussion would be better spent on other potential scenarios. Tyson won't be going anywhere.
  14. Well at the moment, both McCarthy and Hogan are contracted. I'd like for them to be able to snare McCarthy so that they lose interest in Hogan, but at the same time I would enjoy seeing GWS hold him to his contract. Young players are becoming far too entitled these days.
  15. Sounds like a likely type and could be worth a go on the rookie list. Might be a few clubs hovering though and if he ends up on an AFL list, I'd bet it would be at Freo or WC.
  16. Maybe. I think that in hindsight, it might well have been lose/lose for them no matter what. Judd kept them afloat for a few years. If he weren't there they would still have had Kennedy and another high pick, but we can tell now that their drafting since then has been very poor. They were never going to get to the top and have ended up back on the bottom - it was always going to happen. They needed more than just Judd, but he was a patch job that saved them for a few years at least. At the moment, they are well and truly rooted.
  17. I'd prefer we went for another midfielder and tried to fill the forward gap through trading or a later pick. If only Hopper were available.
  18. I was too. I was also chuffed when he broke Rhys Shaw's ribs when we hammered Sydney. Overall though, he was far too limited.
  19. We can't use this reasoning every time something is denied... srsly.
  20. Me too. Was very much hoping we'd draft him back then. Perhaps it's worked out for the best though. If we were to send Howe over to Collingwood, I'm not sure I'd be content with just Kennedy back. Does have potential but is very unproven.
