How do we put the Devil back in our Demon?

Bring back J Mac. -
Implement the non negotiable fundamentals of football.......tackling, running, kicking to a players advantage, smothering, stopping your opponent from getting the ball and fighting tooth and nail to I get it? Play one on one footy all over the ground and force the players to be responsible for their direct opponent. The player that comes up worst for the week gets dropped. I am sick of seeing an opposing player leading to the ball passing an MFC player guarding a position or 30 meters behind. I'd like to see Magner elevated this week and start on the field. Davey needs to start on the ground, not as sub. Dunn on Martin. McKenzie on Cotchin (if he plays)

How much more can you take as a supporter?
waikikkamukau replied to Mongrel Dee's topic in Melbourne Demons
As long as it takes! If the club goes down then that's the end of footy for me! -
You missed Gillies!

Do you THINK Neeld will get the axe this week?
waikikkamukau replied to Curry & Beer's topic in Melbourne Demons
What makes you think Craig isn't part of this problem too? Craig and Rawlings are both axed senior coaches. -
INTO DARKNESS: THE BOULEVARD OF BROKEN DREAMS
waikikkamukau replied to Demonland's topic in Melbourne Demons
How many times did the public hear these sorts of comments from GC and GWS?Less games experience, less body strength absolute bulls#%t! What excuses are the for not practising and implementing the non negotiable fundamentals of football.......tackling, running, kicking, smothering, stopping your opponent from getting the ball and fighting tooth and nail to I get it? There are none, teach and train these before any game plan is practised, train it so that it is so engrained that it becomes second nature. Play one on one footy all over the ground and force the players to be responsible for their direct opponent. The player that comes up worst for the week gets dropped. This current game plan is a disgrace, it has more holes than a piece of Swiss cheese hence the reason opposing teams have such a high disposal rate against us, if it continues I won't be going to another game. I am sick of seeing an opposing player leading to the ball passing an MFC player guarding a position or 30meters behind. Revisit the game plan when they are fitter, stronger and skills are up to scratch. The next two years of games should be spent developing that. -

Welcome to Demonland ... PETER JACKSON
waikikkamukau replied to Demonland's topic in Melbourne Demons
I would have thought there would have been something posted on the website or even Twitter saying welcome. Is he coming here to assist MFC or to report back to the AFL? -
I'm not sure if dropping Davey or Watts is the right way to go, I would like to see Davey be assigned a role like tag Yarran or Betts. You cant bring Sellar in for Watts. Watts would have to go forward and we would need smaller back line to handle their quicks Walker, Yarran, Betts, Gartlett etc. Lets be honest the midfield is going to be smashed!

I was all for giving Neeld a fair run at it however the game against the lions highlights some more massive flaws in our coaching department. 1. We let Beamer go a genuine hard nut mid, wins contested ball and clearances and he rips us a new one at the weekend. We have a similar player on our Rookie list who is ripping up the VFL at the moment. WTF? 2. At the Press conference after the game he suggested that to loss under 5 goals on the road was a postive? WTF If BL had of kicked straight it would have been a 10 goal loss! 37 scoring shots to 24 is a flogging! Crap like this is not exactly inspiring people to by membership. That to go along with other gems like "I want us to be the hardest team to play against" We are the easiest team to score against! Why hasn't anyone asked Garry Lyon and the MFC about the day that they interviewed Neeld for the job, and to see if the presentation he put forward to them to get the coaching job is the same as what is being seen now? Massive shake up of the football department is needed, Mahoney, Craig, Royal and Rawlings have to go also!

He did it against Essendon last year, the run wasn't as long but he burst out of the pack and snapped a goal. He's an absolute beauty when he does that! And that's what our young players need to see more of!

Watts back, beard gone and salvation is on its way.

Bombers scandal: charged, <redacted> and <infracted>
waikikkamukau replied to Jonesbag's topic in Melbourne Demons
I think posting these statements is a positive, we are on the front foot, although it should have been done a few months back it certainly seems a more professional and calculated response rather than fumbling our way through a press conference as we saw with the Cam Schwab resignation. -
Jason Taylor in a fight on AIS Europe tour?

Finally someone at MFC shows some fight! Sorry! -
Just thought I would share some footage from the meeting that took place with MFC officials last night.

Do blokes like Dank normally run around handing out advise for free?
-
I don't mind being corrected here however didn't Dermie say there was half a dozen blokes with beards in the spa carrying on, my understanding is that only two beards played on Saturday Chip and Terlich. Watts and GillIes did not play a game so had no reason to have an ice bath. Who else is bearded ATM?

On Harf time they just said that Matt Thompson wrote in an article some along the lines that Liam Jurrah didn't start drinking grog until he came to MFC.

I don't think dropping Watts and Blease is such a bad thing it give them a chance to get some confidence back. There is a good chance that there will be two for to replace next week., All those brought in played well in the VFL last well and deserve to get a run. I think it's a shame that Magner can't. Sylvia has to play as do all of leaders, they have to be forced and taught to lead from the front, happy to see Col named in the midfield. While it's hard to see two of our future stars dropped I feel over time it will force the players to compete for spots every week. Best players play!
