I would say that some sort of minor preliminary talks have already taken place, Surely when PJ met with the AFL and asked for a hand out it would have been to cover the out going and he incoming. They would already have a fair idea who the new coach will be and would be now working behind the scenes learning which on the current list that coach would like to retain. Why would you go and ask for money if you didn't know how much to ask for? Gerard Healy didn't say MN wold be gone in a matter of weeks for no reason.

Quiet day at work? I don't mind it but current one is better.

The club is finally starting to get exactly what it needs, a balance of passionate MFC people mixed with certified hard nuts that are not afraid to make the hard call. Good to see some decisive moves being made.

I'm thinking Roosey is still an 85% chance and based on what he said or didn't say during that segment On the Couch MFC would be negligent not to approach him with every thing they have.

I was of the opinion that after they asked Eade the question that if MFC approached him that he would definitely give it a crack!

I reckon talks are and have been going on behind the scenes for an experienced coach to suit up at the end of the year (strongly recommended by AFL). I didn't mind Neeld but he had to go, no signs of improvement, there is a chance his message to the players could have been clouded by Neil Craig who I don;t rate at all. I really think most of the coaches will not be there in 2014. It seems clear that the AFL have stamped our bail out package now hopefully we can move forward.

Looking forward to getting down to an open training session, normally on a Friday when I am working. Go Dees!
